Unsurprisingly, Black Friday and Cyber Monday brought a flurry of discounts on the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and all three iterations of the Nintendo Switch. Some of those deals have since dried up — pour one out for the $349 Xbox Series X deal we saw last week — but a few newcomers have popped up in their stead. Take GameStop’s current promo on the Smash Bros.-inspired Nintendo Switch OLED bundle, which drops the excellent console bundle to $324.99 ($25 off) when you purchase in-store or order online and pick it up in-store.
While not as slick as the previous Super Smash Bros.-themed Switch, Nintendo’s latest holiday bundle makes up for it in sheer value (especially at this price). It includes a Nintendo Switch OLED and a pair of gray Joy-Cons that feature the game’s iconic logo as well as a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online and a download code for a digital copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The bundle is a good deal even at full price given the latest Smash Bros. title rarely falls below $50 and Nintendo’s step-up console normally retails for $349 on its own, making GameStop’s ongoing brick-and-mortar discount all the sweeter.
This Nintendo Switch OLED bundle comes with the Switch OLED along with a digital copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and three months of Nintendo Switch Online’s Individual membership.
Generally speaking, we consider Tile trackers to be the best Bluetooth trackers for Android users, primarily because they come in a variety of shapes and can do just about anything Apple’s AirTags can do. That said, Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag2 remains an outstanding alternative if you use a Samsung Galaxy device, one that’s currently available in black for an all-time low of $19.99 ($10 off) at Amazon.
Similar to other location trackers, Samsung’s second-gen SmartTag lets you keep tabs on your keys, bags, or any item you can’t afford to be without. The new model carries a beefier IP67 rating, boasts a user-replaceable battery that lasts up to 700 days, and lets you tap into the Galaxy Find network, which functions in a similar fashion to Apple’s Find My network. It also features a larger key ring hole than before and, at least for Samsung users, an improved Compass View and overall app experience. The latter lets you make use of a full-screen map view and a fresh interface, along with a new shortcut that makes your SmartTags easier to find.

For players on Nintendo Switch, seeds are a great way to generate new scenic and resource-rich worlds. The Trails and Tales update added new content to the game, but at its heart, is still very much the same game it’s always been. To generate its infinite worlds, relies on seeds: essentially random numbers used for world generation. Sharing seeds allows players to share their favorite custom worlds.
For those who have ever wondered what they have accomplished in the Steam gaming world, players are now able to get the rundown on their achievements, hours played, and much more using the Steam’s Year in Review feature.
The wizards at Don't Starve developer Klei Entertainment helped write a new playbook for colony sims with the release of Oxygen Not Included, and Ratopia has taken a few pages from it and gone off in an adorable direction of its own. It's a survival city builder that hit Early Access last month, and I'm mighty impressed with the demo so far, which is also giving off some unexpected Terraria energy.
MSI Vector | RTX 4080 | Intel Core i9 12900HX | 16GB DDR5-4800 | 1TB SSD | 16-inch | 1200p | 144Hz | $2,099$1,599 at Newegg (save $500)This is the most affordable RTX 4080-based gaming laptop I've found, possibly at any time this year. It's not some hobbled GPU implementation either, using a 175W design of the graphics card to give you the full gaming performance. It's certainly not the most beautiful laptop you will see, nor the slimmest (though that helps keep it cool), and I'd rather a higher refresh rate panel and a bit more RAM, but it's a great price for an otherwise high-spec gaming machine.
Finally, you’re not stuck with stacking items only up to 30! In the latest LEGO Fortnite update, players can now stack certain items up to 50.
Though Owlcat Games just released the Warhammer 40k CRPG Rogue Trader, it's still been hard at work updating its previous game, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. The game's just started a free weekend lasting until December 17th, while it will also be on sale for 75% off until the 21st.
Fortnite's in-game store is home to many cosmetics and items you can purchase with V-Bucks to express yourself in the battle royale and other modes. However, V-Bucks don't come cheap, and a lot of the time real money needs to be exchanged to earn the in-game currency since they are pretty challenging to earn — making your buying decisions all the more important.
Arguably, the most anticipated fighting game of 2024, , just received a demo for the upcoming game on PlayStation 5 on December 14, 2023. Right now, people can hop into the shoes of the iconic devil, Jin Kazama, as he enters the next phase in his epic story. However, those who own Xbox and PCs won't be left out, as the demo will become available to those users next week.
The Sora amiibo from Super Smash Bros is available to pre-order on the UK My Nintendo Store.
It’s almost scary to think that Super Smash Bros Ultimate released five years ago today. Where has the time gone? Have we really been able to play it for so long? The answer is “we don’t know” and “yes.” It’s hard to picture, but the game came out in 2018, and just like in 2018, it came out on the day of The Game Awards and even announced the first DLC character during the event! The point is that the game has been around a while, and you might want a reason to go back in and play it for yourself. The good news is that we have that motivation.
We all know about numerous examples of an Apple Watch saving people's lives. Well, it seems, an Apple AirTag can save people's businesses from thieves! Apple AirTag has been making headlines for various reasons some good and some bad ever since it was launched. In the latest incident, a man caught a serial plant thief by putting the Apple AirTag to cunning use. The thief had been stealing expensive trees, pots, vases and more in a California locality for a long time and no one was able to stop his purloining spree. The businessman concerned was running an establishment called Roger's Gardens and he finally managed to track down the plant thief who had stolen thousands of dollars worth of goods over the course of many weeks. Even though the Police had been trying to track down the thief, the case could not be solved until the owner actually planted the Apple AirTag in different items across his shop and caught the thief virtually red-handed. Know how the thief was finally nabbed.
