It’s almost time for the next season of Gameloft’s free-to-play kart racer Disney Speedstorm, and this author’s dreams of an Alice in Wonderland-themed update have been crushed yet again. Instead, the developer appears to be teasing Wreck-It Ralph content, by posting a small GIF of a candy-themed race track. Expect an official announcement to follow in the coming days.
Racers included in this season are likely to include Ralph himself, as well as Venelope. Of note, earlier in the month, Gameloft announced plans to completely reboot the way racer upgrades operate, doing away with character-specific currencies in favour of a more universal token system. It remains to be seen how the community will respond to this potentially seismic change.

I was excited for this yesterday when the in game counter said Season 6 ended in 6 days, next Tuesday, but this morning it said Season 6 ends in 20 days, so excitement much diminished.
Between the extra 2 weeks and the ridiculously awful match making system where my level 15 racer is put in races with level 40 racers hence losing points every match and going down levels I’m pretty much done.
Oh and the new system where everything is purchased with the same coins rather than different types of material seems to me like it’s removing some interesting aspects of the game.
So yeah, back to wasting my time on Fortnite and hoping after a decade of waiting a new Mario Kart releases next year.
I love wreak it Ralph & Ralph breaks the internet, I always fantasied about a go karting game that could rival he who shall not be named (begins with M Lol)
@rjejr They match players up based on MPR rather than level, don’t they. Seems like it should at least be a blend of the two. And seeing the season end date suddenly extend by two weeks was a bit deflating, as was the announcement about the different materials going away.
I guess I shouldn’t complain, though, since I’ve never completed any of those “tell us what you think” surveys. Just be yourself, game, you don’t need me or anyone else telling you how to be. It’s still my daily go to for a quick 10 minute blast of fun.
@BeautifulCreatures
There have been so many contenders but none seem to be able to dethrone M*r*o and friends. I used to buy Nintendo systems just to play the new versions of that game. Nothing else comes close.
@Amnesiac It’s probably MPR, which since it’s basically a measure of how
