With God of War, Horizon, Spider-Man, and other blockbusters happily taking root on PC, I can only assume that the continued absence of Bloodborne from our platform of choice is due to either a mummy's curse or Sony executive spite, but who needs it anyway? Bloodborne's true form—Bloodborne Kart—now has a proper release date, meaning we can turn Yharnam into our own personal Rainbow Road incredibly soon.
And by «incredibly soon» I mean the 31st of January next year. Featuring 12 racers, 16 maps, a «full single player campaign mode,» split-screen local multiplayer, a versus battle mode and—last but not least—boss fights, I think the game is officially too fully featured to be considered a gag at this point. Rendered in full PS1-style demake glory, the devs have done an inspiring job translating the PS4 game's Lovecraftian vibes to the swimmy textures of an original PlayStation.
So it's an impressive effort, then, especially considering the game comes from a team of three devs—Lilith Walther, Corwyn Prichard, Evelyn Lark—and began as «a meme that was born from a fake joke leak that was posted anonymously in 2017.»
«This fan game,» continues the blurb, «will be released as the logical conclusion of the six year communal art project» inspired by that «community in-joke.» You know, pretty much the story of how most games get made.
The announcement doesn't mention whether the game will be free, but I'm relatively certain that's because it's obvious it will be. I'm no lawyer, but it's probably not kosher to start selling a game with «Bloodborne» in the title even if you have converted into a kart racer. Anyway, if you just can't wait until January, you can try out the same team's regular Bloodborne demake on Itch.io right now.

is based on the 5e ruleset. That does not mean, however, that the video game plays exactly like the tabletop RPG. In fact, developer Larian Studios has made a lot of changes to the DnD rules so that the gameplay doesn't get too complicated or bogged down by not having a dungeon master.
The legendary Half-Life is 25 years old and just got a fresh coat of orange paint. Valve has released the 25th anniversary update, which adds a staggering amount of changes and content to Half-Life including more multiplayer maps, modernized visual options, and the once-magazine exclusive Uplink campaign.
After viewing the recent trailer for the latest Ghostbusters feature, titled Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the only thought that crossed my mind was: Now is the time to go full-on animated series. Like, The Real Ghostbusters circa 1986.
If you have played through Alan Wake 2, you will by no doubt be well aware of its musical number. In fact, even if you haven't played it, you may also be aware of this particular moment. It has become quite popular online.
Two objective facts: James Cameron blows deadlines and James Cameron delivers. While his rap sheet is filled with over-budget near-disasters (Titanic) and long delayed pipedreams (Avatarand its sequel The Way of Water), few are left complaining when Cameron actually turns in his work. And today those same cranky admirers have another reason to get pumped: after years of promises that his films The Abyss and True Lies would receive proper Blu-ray home video releases, Cameron has finally wrapped his post-production journey. The films will hit 4K UHD this December, with physical discs arriving in March 2024.

Cyberpunk 2077 just got four nominations at The Game Awards - twice the amount it bagged when it launched. This comes after three years of work to improve the game from its controversial launch, including a complete combat overhaul and a new story expansion through Phantom Liberty.
With just under two weeks until Black Friday, I've spotted quite a few early Black Friday gaming monitor deals so far. Yet, while doing a bit of window shopping, I spotted an absurd Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 Amazon coupon that had me stumped for a solid five minutes. The check box discounts smashes previous offers I’ve come across to pieces, and I honestly didn’t expect to see our favorite OLED ultrawide screen this cheap during 2023.
Some resources in can be much harder to acquire than others, but one that could potentially cause frustration has received a change that should alleviate problems. As a survival crafting game, employs properly balancing resources as part of the intended challenge. When things don't feel like they're shaking out in a fun or fair way, however, a little bit of tweaking can go a long way to ensure that the experience is rewarding without feeling like a grind or a dead end.
Lies of P, the Pinocchio-inspired soulslike title, is getting a DLC expansion and a separate sequel. Publisher Neowiz dropped a Director's Letter video, in which game director Ji Won Choi confirmed the plans and revealed two pieces of concept art from the in-development DLC. The first one appears to be a laboratory frozen all over, which could presumably be the location where the human citizens of Krat were experimented on and turned into puppets. There's no labelling on them, so for now, we can simply guess what these images could mean for future content. The second art sees our puppet protagonist strutting along an abandoned, almost ghostly ship, which could indicate some Peter Pan influence.
