Cherrim is one of the trickiest Pokémon to catch in , and you will need to catch it at some point to complete your Pokédex. Eventually, you will also get a request called ",” which will also task you to catch a Cherrim. The key to catching a Cherrim is knowing where and how exactly you can find it.
Cherrim's spawn rate is quite low and it is not as common as other Pokémon, so if you plan on catching it, you will need a bit of patience. Alternatively, you can also get a Cherrim via evolution, which is slightly easier than catching it. Cherrim will spawn in three different areas across the Hisui region: the Obsidian Fieldlands, Coronet Highlands, and Crimson Mirelands.
In, Cherrim can only be caught at specific locations with shaking trees in Pokémon Legends. If you are looking to find Cherrim, you can find them in the following areas listed below:
Region
Exact Location
Obsidian Fieldlands
Heartwood
Crimson Mirelands
Gapejaw Bog
Coronet Highlands
Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto
Once you are in one of the locations where you can find a Cherrim, you will need to throw one of your Pokémon at a shaking tree with blue leaves. These trees have a significantly higher chance of spawning a Cherrim, so the best location to find one is in P' Coronet Highlands region. Specifically, Cherrim can be found in the Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto. Check out the video below from Techno Trainer on YouTube to see what the shaking trees look like and how Cherrim can be caught.
After checking all the appropriate trees, return to Jubilife Village in and then back to the Coronet Highlands in order to reset the spawns.
You can also turn off the automatic save setting and manually save to bypass having to return to Jubilife Village if you didn't find Cherrim among the trees.
The easiest way to get a Cherrim in is to evolve Cherubi in , which requires raising Cherubi’s level to 25. Alternatively, catching a Cherrim from the wild requires players to be careful when battling the Pokémon.
Since Cherrim is weak to Fire-, Ice-, Flying-, Poison- and Bug-type attacks, the safest way to capture a Cherrim is by using a Pokémon that has learned the move “False Swipe.” This will enable you to drop Cherrim’s health down to 1 HP, making it far easier to catch the Pokémon with an Ultra Ball.
