Assassin's Creed has had a lot of ups and downs over the years, but Ubisoft will be hoping that Assassin's Creed Mirage helps steady the ship after an impacted development schedule, and ahead of future instalments like Assassin's Creed Red. Mirage is a return to the series' more traditional formula, with a focus on stealth-based gameplay. After three games' worth of open world RPG adventure, this is what a lot of fans have been asking for — but does it actually hold up?
We were slightly torn in our Assassin's Creed Mirage PS5 review. We gave the title a solid 7/10, concluding: «Assassin's Creed Mirage sets off in search of its roots, and it finds them — both for better and worse. Undeniably basic in its approach to stealth and combat, it feels oddly dated in terms of design, but it's also a refreshing reminder of the series' original strengths.»

Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
So far an 8. The game is great fun. The story hasn’t exactly hooked me (the characters are
wallpaper thus far), but I’m having a lot of fun just playing it. I like the process of the investigations. I’ve really only had positive feelings playing it. We could all use more simply solid titles like this. I’m happy with it.
Just platinumed it. 8/10.
-1 for the PS5 graphics, at the end of the game some characters look like PS3 graphics...
-1 for not really anything new or anything that try to evolve the franschice. They kind of played it too safe in a way.
If you take that in to account this is a solid fun game all things considered. I got my moneys worth so I'm happy.
I'd give it an 8, the stealth-focused gameplay and investigations are really fun, it's just a pity that the overall story doesn't do much with Basim.
@Peterchu Without spoilers, I thought the story picked up at the end of the game. But I agree, the start and the end was the only parts that really built Basims story overall.
Definitely an 8, sword fighting is a bit poor but i suppose it encourages stealth more.
8/10 from me, while it has faults i do think its a nice love letter to the very first game.
I’m enjoying it so far. I thought the characters were cringe

Slack is one of the world's most popular tools for communication used by professionals and businesses. The platform has a vast number of features that give it an advantage over other forms of communication including WhatsApp, such as allowing up to 50 users in video calls via a huddle. Catering to millions of users worldwide, Slack has a Status account on X that keeps them updated about any ongoing issues related to login, search, notifications, connections, and more. However, the platform has announced the shutdown of the account, and users won't be able to check the status anymore.
Veteran video game magazine Famitsu has revealed the first review score for Super Mario Bros Wonder, and it’s a doozy.

Genshin Impact sent ripples through the gaming industry in 2020, and Honkai: Star Rail has already successfully repeated the same feat. Currently the biggest gacha game on the planet per Sensor Tower revenue rankings, this turn-based RPG takes many of the same systems from HoYoverse’s fantasy open world and bends them into a more bite-sized package. The result is a game that’s more manageable to make progress in, but still utterly life-consuming if you want it to be.
Imitating the infamous Souls-like formula is no small feat, and Lords of the Fallen knows it. You can’t just copy and paste Dark Souls and call it a day anymore, which is forcing developers to find new ways to innovate the genre. Already this year we’ve had the mechanically tinged take in the form of Lies of P, but Lords of the Fallen takes it one step further by delivering a distinct mechanic that completely changes how you play the game. But is it enough to proudly stand as part of the Souls-like pantheon? Well, the answer to that is a decidedly mixed bag.
How is it October already? A month of trick or treating and enormous game releases awaits, so you better be on top of that backlog or else! Here’s what we’re playing!
Sonic Superstars arrives as the iconic SEGA mascot is on an upswing. This brand new side-scrolling platformer follows Sonic Mania, a great throwback adventure that mixes old and new, and Sonic Frontiers, the best 3D entry in the series in a long time. The less said about Sonic Forces, the better. The point is, the character has had a pretty good run of form, and by and large, Superstars keeps that trend going — albeit with a large caveat.
Free-to-play colossus Honkai: Star Rail is out now on PS5 following a hugely successful stint on mobile devices. From HoYoverse, the developer behind Genshin Impact, the turn-based RPG is another free-to-play romp, so we want to know if you've been tempted into giving it a try.
With 2023’s Cricket World Cup kicking off in India this month, Big Ant Studios has taken the opportunity to release Cricket 24 alongside. Similarly with EA Sports FC for football and MLB The Show for baseball, Cricket 24 is a yearly instalment in cricketing video games but on a much lower budget than its stablemates.
Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is a game of two halves: a surprisingly simplistic action RPG and an endless barrage of static, visual novel-style cutscenes. It bears the name Dragon Quest and is published by Square Enix, yet it feels entirely barebones; with basic gameplay and a poorly presented story, we're left confused about who this one was for.
