Video Game Voice Actors May Go On Strike As Union Authorizes Vote

Labor union SAG-AFTRA is calling on members to vote in favor of strike authorization.

Actual play show High Rollers will be hosting the cast of Baldur's Gate 3 for a special one-shot this week.

SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher has called on union members to support a strike authorization vote so its negotiators will have more leverage when dealing with game companies.

This fighting game series is getting more cinematic with each entry, so it makes sense the Mortal Kombat 1 cast list is stellar. It includes Hollywood talent like John Cena and Megan Fox. Voice and motion capture actor Neil Newbon, known to fans of Baldur's Gate 3 as Astarion, is streaming a co-op let's play of Baldur's Gate 3 alongside friend and horror writer-director Tom de Ville. As they stream they laugh along to the game, and yeah, Newbon does The Astarion Voice a lot when he's in control of, you know, the character he played in the game.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is getting a video game sequel – and it's set to release sooner than you might think. Outright Games, the publisher behind family-friendly titles such as PAW Patrol: Grand Prix and Jumanji: The Video Game, announced the adaptation will be launching on consoles and PC in 2024.

Nintendo’s flagship character had been voiced for decades by Charles Martinet. This actor has been offering his talents to Nintendo to give Mario those iconic phrases fans have become familiar with.
