V Rising Exits Early Access on May 8th for PC, Coming Later This Year to PS5

iQOO has made a strong start to 2024 with the launch of multiple smartphones. The company unveiled the iQOO Neo 9 Pro in February and then followed it up with the launch of the iQOO Z9 earlier this month. If reports are to be believed, the company is planning to introduce multiple smartphones in the next few months. iQOO's roadmap for 2024 is rumoured to include smartphones such as iQOO Z9 Turbo and iQOO Neo 10, while there are also whispers about a potential launch of iQOO Pad 2.

Back in 2020, the PS5 launched with a number of notable improvements over its predecessor both in terms of its hardware capabilities and the software features it offered right out the gate- but not all of them were big hits. Game Help, a feature that allows players to view clips of gameplay from game developers to help get past in-game roadblocks, hasn’t exactly taken off since the PS5 launched, though Sony is set to introduce some improvements to it soon.

Fortnite, one of the biggest third-person shooters in, well, ever, could be about to become one of the biggest first-person shooters ever. Epic have revealed that a first-person camera mode is headed to their ridiculously popular battle royale game later in 2024, letting you blast Peter Griffin, Solid Snake's flat butt and other pop-culture icons up-close.

The religious themed INDIKA will be available on May 8th, 11 Bit Studios has confirmed. The game has been developed by Odd Meter Studio. INDIKA is puzzle based narrative game where players take on the role of Indika who may have the power to change God’s plan, though the question will be are her actions actually having any impact.

AMD has announced its latest FidelityFX Super Resolution technology update in the form of FSR 3.1 which will enable Frame generation on 3rd party upscaling solutions.

The Unreal Engine 5 remake of Riven: The Sequel to Myst, previously known as Riven: New Discoveries From the Lost D'ni Empire but now officially just called plain-old Riven, is coming this year, original developer Cyan Worlds has announced. 

Cyan Worlds today announced plans to launch their fancy real-time 3D remake of Riven later this year, coming with support for both VR cybergoggles and standard meatspace screens. Riven: The Sequel To Myst was the 1997 sequel to Myst, the 1993 pre-rendered adventure game which sold a million CD-ROM drives and launched a thousand specks of spittle from John Walker's mouth. The remake previously had a longwinded name of its own, Riven: New Discoveries Of The Lost D'ni Empire, but now is simply named Riven. They should rebrand again and call it Riven: The Sequel To The Myst Remake.

AMD has published the first demo of its Radeon RX 7900 XTX "RDNA 3" GPU handling Work Graphs, providing much faster and more efficient rendering.

Entering development all the way back in 2010 before being officially announced a couple years later, Cloud Imperium Games’ massive space-faring MMO Star Citizen has been one of gaming’s most curious stories for years. Development on the title has dragged on for what has felt like an eternity, and though it has been playable in varying stages of alpha for a long time now, with the project continuing to rack up mind-boggling amounts of crowdfunding (currently standing at roughly $670 million), it has continued to look like a game that’s never going to actually release.

Ubisoft has revealed a roadmap of incoming updates, modes and DLC for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, building up to new story DLC later in 2024. Outside of the new story DLC, all of this will be delivered through free title updates, which is a lovely touch.

A few days ago, Unchained Entertainment (previously known as City State Entertainment) re-emerged after a long slumber and revealed that Final Stand: Ragnarok would re-launch on Steam Early Access this Thursday, while Camelot Unchained, the original MMORPG project devised by the studio, would come out in late 2025.

PlayStation's exclusive open-world action game Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is set to arrive on PC later this year.
