Unity opens beta for visionOS development

After last fall signaling its intentions to expand into cloud gaming, Netflix today launched a new app that will soon allow subscribers to play games on their TV. The app, dubbed “Netflix Game Controller,” lets you use your phone as a controller after pairing it with your TV in order to play the games available through Netflix’s service.

In June, Nexon announced that ahead of its launch later this year, The First Descendant would be getting a cross-platform open beta in August. However, with not long left until when the beta was originally supposed to kick off, the company has announced a change in those plans.

Nexon has delayed the cross-platform open beta test for free-to-play third-person cooperative action RPG shooter The First Descendant from its previously planned August 22 to 28 dates to September 19 to 25. It will be playable across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Registration is available here.

The looter shooter with cool Spider-Man-ish grappling hooks, The First Descendant, has pushed back its open beta dates to September 19-25th. Previously, it was planned for a late August timeframe. Since the full game and the upcoming beta support crossplay, developers Nexon say the delay will help to optimise the game on all platforms. So you can loop laser rope threads with buddies on consoles, no problem.

Nearly 3 weeks after the release of the first public beta, Apple has now seeded the second public beta of iOS 17.
