Resurgent developer and publisher Capcom has announced that it will increase the salary of starting employees in Japan by more than 25%, beginning at the start of its fiscal year 2025. In addition, current employees will receive a pay rise and a bonus as the company seeks to further invest in its most valuable resource.
UK developer Supermassive preparing to lay off around 90 staff

Staff at developer Supermassive Games are facing redundancy in the near future.
That's according to Bloomberg, which reports that 150 members of staff have been told they might be losing their jobs. Of that figure, around 90 are going to be made redundant in the end. As of July 2022, Supermassive is owned by Nordisk Games.
Word of layoffs at the studio comes in the wake of Supermassive's founders Pete and Joe Samuels announcing their departure from the developer at the start of the month.
In a post on Twitter, the developer posted a statement confirming the layoffs.
"This is not a decision that's been taken lightly, with many efforts made to avoid this outcome," the studio wrote.
"We are all too aware of how unsettling and difficult this process is going to be for all our employees and will be working closely with all those involve to ensure the process is conducted as respectfully and compassionately as possible.
"We're committed to focusing our efforts on our core strengths and upcoming titles to ensure the continued sustainability of the company."
