Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10 Studios is looking to address reported issues within its latest racer later this year.
Without a doubt, this year's Forza reboot is a great title with outstanding racing, strong car customization, and splendid visuals. As expected, however, some things could have been done better. For instance, the racer isn't the best when it comes to penalizing for actions, and the game's car progression system isn't the best either. In a new blog post on the Forza blog, Turn 10 has now posted an update about the feedback that the game has been receiving, and what they are planning to fix this year.
According to the studio, AI, Race Regulations and the car progression system are the three areas that players would like to see improved. "We are aware that Forza Race Regulations are not working as intended in some situations", Turn 10 writes. "We have heard about inconsistent or unfair penalties in instances of intentional ramming, being pushed off the track, and spinning cars pushing drivers off the track. We have also heard that high speed collisions sometimes have no penalties while low speed collisions have mild penalties."
As for Forza's car progression system, the studio writes: "It is clear from looking at feedback that while many of our players are enjoying the system as is, for many others it isn’t delivering the upgrade experience that they expect from Forza Motorsport. To address this, we are exploring changes to the system. Our goal with these changes is to retain what is working for those that enjoy it, while resolving the issues many of our most dedicated players have with the system."
As mentioned by the developer, the three areas are top priority going into the year, but making adjustments will take some time. We'll update you as soon as we learn more about the changes coming to Forza Motorsport later this year.

While there’s certainly something to be said about Turn 10’s overreliance on temporary, live-service content in Forza Motorsport, the studio has been adding lots to the game post-release. All-new tracks are usually the highlights of their respective updates, and Update 5’s Nürburgring Nordschleife will be no different.
Turn 10 Studios has confirmed in the latest Forza Monthly that Nordschleife will be coming to Forza Motorsport in February. The 20.83-kilometre-long track is part of Update 5, which includes numerous fixes and improvements for the game.
