Fans have been itching to see the spunky purple dragon in a starring role once again for a long time, as there hasn’t been a new completely original Spyro game since The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon way back in 2008. Over the past decade or so, Spyro has been relegated to supporting roles and cameos in titles like Skylanders and Crash Team Rumble, though fans got to replay his first three adventures thanks to 2018’s Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
