In 2021, we commented on the development of Cygames’ Project Awakening and how Granblue Fantasy: Relink wasn’t the only action RPG taking a while to cook. Fast-forward to 2024 and while Relink has done well for itself, the former is still nowhere to be seen. Fortunately, the development team updated fans on Twitter, assuring them that the game hasn’t been cancelled.
Before its next showcase for Granblue Fantasy: Relink on April 25th, Cygames has confirmed that Seofon and Tweyen will be added to the roster for free on April 26th. The stream will provide a “deep dive” into Version 1.2.0 and likely reveal new content tied to the two Eternals.

Developer Cygames has released a new update for action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink. The update, numbered at version 1.1.0, is available on PC, PS4 and PS5, and brings with a new boss fight against Lucilius, as well as other content and gameplay adjustment.
Cygames revealed the first major post-launch update coming to Granblue Fantasy: Relink on March 14th in a recent stream. However, alongside Lucilius and the reveal of Sandalphon as an upcoming character, it showcased the first gameplay for Seofon and Tweyen, the Immortals arriving in late April. Check it out below.

Cygames has announced that Granblue Fantasy: Relink has crossed one million copies sold since launch. Based on the developer’s successful free-to-play RPG, it became available for PS4, PS5 and PC on February 1st.
Last week was another big one for major new releases, with RPG fans in particular being treated to the one-two punch of Persona 3 Reload and Granblue Fantasy: Relink– both of which have got off to solid starts in Japan, as per weekly physical sales data released by Famitsu.
Announced last month, NieR: Automata’s 2B will arrive in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising on February 20th. The news was revealed during the fighting game’s Top 8 Finals at Frosty Faustings 2024. She’s included in Character Pass 1 but can also be purchased separately for $7.99. 2B’s launch is included with the Version 1.2 update, which includes the option to use Weapon Cutouts in online lobbies.
