Three new Starfield animated shorts offer more glimpses of Bethesda’s new universe

Diablo 4 has been out for two months, but Diablo 3 is still going, with Season 29 the last new one planned--and it's a big one. The PTR for upcoming patch 2.7.6 is opening up tomorrow for two weeks, and the team details some of what to expect, including a new single player mode.

THQ Nordic has given us a fresh look at Outcast: A New Beginning, a full sequel to the 1999 cult classic (and the 2017 remake without the old voxel graphics). This is a broad open world game, with a difference.

At the Pokemon Presents August showcase, the company had a surprise announcement about a new TCG anime. Called Pokemon: Path to the Peak, the new short follows a young girl called Ava who joins her new school’s Pokemon club.

Overwatch 2 continues generating hype as one of the biggest multiplayer games today. Blizzard has poured its heart into Overwatch 2 and its cast of heroes since the game’s release, working to keep the fanbase occupied with hundreds of fun hours of blood-pumping gameplay. The developers have now dropped a new Overwatch 2 Invasion trailer revealing the game’s upcoming chapter, its new support hero Illari, lore-filled story missions, and thrilling game modes.

Sega have formally unveiled the next steaming helping of Total Warhammer 3 DLC, Shadows of Change, which adds three Legendary Lords to this already-jam-packed strategy game: the Changeling for the demonic Tzeentch faction, Yuan Bo for Grand Cathay, and Mother Ostankya for Kislev, plus a brace of new campaign mechanics, units and battlefield abilities.

Total War Warhammer 3 Shadows of Change finally has a release date and full reveal, as the first of three upcoming Creative Assembly strategy game DLCs comes out later this month. There’s the Total War Warhammer 3 4.0 patch, free content, and the paid Legendary Lords, who we’ll break down below.

World of Warcraft’ s next content update, Fury Incarnate, 10.1.7 will go live on September 5th. This update will add new Dragonflight quests, split the Dawn of the Infinite mega dungeon into two Heroic-level dungeons, and more.

Overwatch's new animated short, «Calling», is out now, featuring Sojourn! The short centers around what Sojourn has been up to since Overwatch disbanded, centering around her complicated vigilante activity, and her friend Officer Tremblay. Sojourn had saved Tremblay and his team from an Omnic attack recently while disguised, and Tremblay comes to visit Sojourn. While conflicted, Tremblay still decides to arrest Sojourn for her illegal vigilante activities. However, before she is arrested, Null Sector invades Toronto and Sojourn suits up and takes command of the city's defenses, with Tremblay at her side. This cinematic is also available to be viewed in-game. In addition, there are in-game challenges rewarding Battle Pass XP, player icons, a Sojourn Highlight intro, and more.

Overwatch 2: Invasion, the biggest update since last year's relaunch of the hero shooter, arrives next week and Blizzard has dropped a couple new trailers showing off some of what we can expect from the season, including PvP missions and some more story content.

With Season 6 and Invasion out next week for Overwatch 2, Blizzard is starting the hype cycle with a short teaser for its next animated short. “Calling” focuses on Vivian Chase, aka Sojourn, and it seems that after Overwatch’s disbandment, she’s a superhero on the side. Consequences are seemingly in store, though.

The Starfield video game has already gained a massive following. Players can’t wait to get their hands on this new RPG from the talented folks from Bethesda. While we’re nearing its release, the studio has been marketing the title in a new thrilling way. A series of animated shorts were released, giving you a small look into the lives of three individuals who have started their own new thrilling adventures in a future marked with hostilities, greed, and corruption.
