CD Projekt RED has today unleashed patch 4.04 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt across both PS5 and PS4 consoles. This update is designed to fix a number of minor issues relating to side quests, and on PS5 more specifically, improves the graphical mode that utilises ray tracing. The RPG should be more stable after loading a save with the ray tracing mode enables, and the load screens shouldn't stutter either.
Elsewhere, side quests like A Towerful of Mice, Cabaret, The Last Wish and Wandering in the Dark, and Get Junior have all been updated to either run better or had bugs removed from them. Update 4.04 also adds an HDR calibration option and ensures collision with grass works properly. You can check out the full list of patch notes below.

PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has announced more than 40 million PS5 consoles have now been sold since its release in November 2020. With any PS5 Stock issues now completely rectified, Ryan said: «With the support of PlayStation fans, we have reached a milestone of 40 million PS5 consoles sold through to gamers since launch. Suggestions a Red Dead Redemption remake or remaster is in the works from Rockstar are doing the rounds again as Internet sleuths have uncovered a new logo for the PS3 title recently uploaded to the developer's website. First spotted by Twitter user Tez2, a site update from earlier today included a new reference within the games list as well as the new logo you see below.
In perhaps the most on-brand leak of the modern era, the logo for this year's Call of Duty game has made its way online on the back of a cardboard box containing Monster Energy drinks. Sony has today announced the retro-inspired PS5, PS4 RPG Sea of Stars will launch straight into PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium on its release date of 29th August 2023. It will be part of the August 2023 service refresh, arriving at the end of the month, and you can get a taste of it right now with a demo available on the PS Store. Dying Light 2 developer Techland has announced Chinese firm Tencent is setting itself up to become the studio's main shareholder, effectively acquiring the Polish team. Confirmed by founder Pawel Marchewka in a website post, he says the buyout allows Techland «to move full speed ahead with the execution of the vision for our games», which includes more from the Dying Light series and an unannounced open world action RPG.
