Intel has finally released a revamped version of its highly-popular Intel Embree Ray Tracing library, elevating the ray-tracing experience on the Arc GPUs to new heights.

Niantic and Capcom have today jointly revealed Monster Hunter Now, a mobile spin-off similar in style to Pokémon GO, will launch on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store on 14th September 2023. Pre-registration across both platforms is available now, and the more players who do so, the better the rewards will be at launch. PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has announced more than 40 million PS5 consoles have now been sold since its release in November 2020. With any PS5 Stock issues now completely rectified, Ryan said: «With the support of PlayStation fans, we have reached a milestone of 40 million PS5 consoles sold through to gamers since launch. Thank you so much to our community of gamers — without you this would have been an impossible task.»

Suggestions a Red Dead Redemption remake or remaster is in the works from Rockstar are doing the rounds again as Internet sleuths have uncovered a new logo for the PS3 title recently uploaded to the developer's website. First spotted by Twitter user Tez2, a site update from earlier today included a new reference within the games list as well as the new logo you see below.

In perhaps the most on-brand leak of the modern era, the logo for this year's Call of Duty game has made its way online on the back of a cardboard box containing Monster Energy drinks. Activision's FPS franchise has had a long-standing partnership with the energy drink, offering the likes of double XP if you buy a can, and now a Modern Warfare 3 logo has been spotted on them.

After a PS4 version of High on Life was spotted on the backend of the PS Store, the comedic game has now essentially been confirmed for PS5 and PS4 as Exophase has pulled Trophy lists for both versions. They are available to view now, with Platinum Trophies for both PS5 and PS4 editions.

Sony has today announced the retro-inspired PS5, PS4 RPG Sea of Stars will launch straight into PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium on its release date of 29th August 2023. It will be part of the August 2023 service refresh, arriving at the end of the month, and you can get a taste of it right now with a demo available on the PS Store. Dying Light 2 developer Techland has announced Chinese firm Tencent is setting itself up to become the studio's main shareholder, effectively acquiring the Polish team. Confirmed by founder Pawel Marchewka in a website post, he says the buyout allows Techland «to move full speed ahead with the execution of the vision for our games», which includes more from the Dying Light series and an unannounced open world action RPG.

Sony's new controller all about making its games more accessible for disabled gamers, the PS5 Access Controller, is up for pre-order now. Priced at $89.99 / £79.99 / €89.99, you can go to the official PlayStation Direct website and secure a unit ahead of its 6th December 2023 release date. The device is restricted to one unit per household when you place an order.

Update 1.10 has been deployed today for PS5, PS4 versions of Elden Ring, making various balance changes exclusive to both the PvP and PvE sides of the game. When fighting another real-life player, you can look forward to better poise damage across all weapons and some spells as well as extended critical hit angles once the patch is installed.
