The War Within Hallowfall Storyline Playthrough (Story Spoilers)

The latest build of The War Within Alpha has a huge leak — literally. It also comes with several updates to Cooking recipes and reagents! We previously datamined vegetable weapons coming in The War Within, and now we've partially discovered how to obtain Extra Large Leak! Datamining has revealed the Extra Large Leak spell, which shows that combining 999 Twined Herbs.

Private Auras are back in The War Within Alpha, and they now affect Mythic+ abilities as well!

Profession bags will be in high demand in The War Within — each new bag comes with a special effect, such as increasing reagent gain or decreasing cooldowns! Tailors will have a new bag full of tricks once they learn these new recipes, and every profession will want to obtain one of these new bags. Each is Unique-Equipped, so unfortunately you can't double up on effects, but you can equip two different profession bags at the same time — you won't have to choose which of your professions you find more important!

One of the changes seen in the latest build of The War Within Alpha involves Demonology Warlocks, which received another small overhaul. One of these changes is the addition of a new capstone talent that involves a choice node between two talents, Mark of F'harg and Mark of Shatug.

After some additional sleuthing In the latest Alpha build, we've datamined an updated preview of the Rogue Tier Set appearances coming in Season 1 of The War Within including additional effects and an extra color option. Season 1 Tier Sets will be available from the Nerub'ar Palace Raid featuring eight bosses, culminating in a showdown with Queen Ansurek. The Warband Bank, a feature coming in the War Within, allows players to utilize resources account-wide and share them easily between alts. In our initial alpha preview, we explored many of features and costs associated with the convenient new banking option, but couldn't quite determine the gold cap. Faerin Lothar, a new character from World of Warcraft: The War Within, has a prosthetic limb in the form of a shield. This awesome new World of Warcraft character will accompany players in the Hallowfall region in The War Within, where her unique fighting style will literally help save the day.

Gotta go fast? Speed fiends might be interested to discover that there's a new bag in The War Within Alpha that increases movement speed in outdoor areas of Khaz Algar! While increasing outdoor movement speed in a specific area of the expansion isn't a particularly important bonus, Arathor Courier's Satchel stands out as the first of its kind — no other bag in WoW has had this kind of statistical effect, and it could be a test case for more varied bag bonuses going forward. Although it is unlikely that we'll see universal combat enhancements like increased strength, critical strike chance, or damage procs, there are a number of other minor supplementary effects or effects that only work in specific areas of the game, like an excavators satchel increasing capabilities in Delves.

Blizzard has posted additional developer commentary explaining some of the new Warrior changes in this week's Alpha build for The War Within, from redefining Arms AoE rotation, to punching up Fury's Bloodthirst, and major buffs for Bladestorm! There are a few Warrior updates in today’s Alpha build. After giving Arms and Fury access to both Bladestorm and Ravager, it was clear that Ravager had strong advantages in all situations. We’d like Bladestorm to be a strong pick for burst AOE, so we’re buffing its damage significantly, and reducing Ravager’s damage slightly. This should help make the choice between these abilities more meaningful and let each ability shine in different situations. Arms We’ve heard the feedback that the Arms AOE rotation lacks definition, so we’re making adjustments to Cleave to make it the centerpiece of Arms’ AOE rotation in The War Within.
