The Djinn is a great Salutor to have early on in with its unique curse skillset. Taming Djinn involves completing the "" side quest, where Wiktor tracks down a market thief and uncovers the reasons behind their pickpocketing spree. Intriguingly, players can also elect to tame Djinn for a secret achievement, but this is best left for later playthroughs.
"" is unlocked in Act 1 after getting access to the Mirów district. More specifically, this quest located in the Gościnny Dwór bazaar in the northmost part of Mirów. Have some health-restoring abilities on hand, as Djinn's curses will slowly deplete Wiktor's health after timed delays.

Wiktor will detect the wish-granting Djinn's presence when first entering the Gościnny Dwór bazaar, but he will need to collect Observations to narrow down who has the Flaw. Use Perception repeatedly while walking around the bazaar to collect the following:
From these, Wiktor will make the «Bloom» Conclusion, which deduces that the bazaar thief is selling flowers as an alibi. Talk to the flower lady in blue by the bazaar's entrance and buy a familiar-looking African daisy. Continue to prod at the flower seller for her thievery until her Flaw glows briefly, and she calls over the market's bodyguards.
Be wary about using Pride dialogue options during this quest, as having too much Pride will lock players into only one of two possible endings for " " .
While talking to the bodyguards, Wiktor can deduce the «Last Straw» Conclusion, where the guards are fed up with their lack of payment. If Wiktor's Heart stat is at least 5, he can convince the guards to divert their anger away from him and towards their boss instead. Otherwise, he will need to defeat the bodyguards in battle, and despite having a decently high amount of health, they should not prove too difficult.
After dealing with the bodyguards, follow the Perception trail south through Mirów and collect any Observations along the way. Upon reaching a small market and examining a water pump, Wiktor will have a vision of a desert oasis, where a mysterious man named Ali will approach him.
Defeat Ali and his desert warriors to learn that the thief's home is near some washerwomen south of the pump, which also unlocks the «Wiktor of Arabia» achievement.
Examine the door to the thief's house to learn a special knock, granting entry inside. A boy here named Gabryś is the little brother to the thief, but refuses to give up information until Wiktor proves he knows his sister well. Find all the Observations in the small home until obtaining the «New Beginning» Conclusion, then
