The Sonic 3 logo looks like a big shoutout to one of the hedgehog's most beloved games

Lego discovered gamers want their favorite characters and backdrops to be turned into toy bricks when it released its first wave of Super Mario items. Sonic has quickly become the video game character with the most sets after his plumbing rival, though. What started as a Lego Ideas submission has turned into an entire collection, and next month, Knuckles and Rouge will join that collection.

Funko has been pretty busy this festive period, although, with more than 13,000 Pops now out in the world, you could argue it's never really not busy. It's not done with 2023 just yet though as first looks at new figures releasing before the end of the year have appeared online. All of them Sonic figures, there appear to be eight Pops in total that will expand Sonic's Funko collection very soon.

Penny’s Big Breakaway, an upcoming 3D platformer from several developers behind 2017’s well-received Sonic Mania, is set to release in early 2024. We got another glimpse of the game in action, as well as several of its main characters, in a new trailer shown during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted.
