The Sims 4 will explore gems as a skill and occupation in its upcoming Crystal Creations Stuff Pack. The Sims 4 has four different types of DLC: expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits. DLC is categorized and priced according to how much content it'll bring to the table. Kits were the latest addition to The Sims 4, and after they were introduced, EA stopped releasing stuff packs for a considerable amount of time.
The first kit, Bust the Dust, was released in March 2021. Now, a total of 27 kits are available. On the other hand, the only stuff pack that came out between March 2021 and February 2024 was the Home Chef Hustle stuff pack back in September 2023. When the Home Chef Hustle stuff pack was announced, fans were surprised, as many thought that kits had completely replaced stuff packs.
The introduction of kits to The Sims 4 was quite controversial, but it might've finally slowed down. At least, it seems that EA has intentions of releasing stuff packs more regularly. With a much shorter time gap between releases this time around, the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack is coming to The Sims 4 before the end of February. This stuff pack focuses on learning gemology, collecting crystals and metals, and handcrafting jewelry. It seems that Crystal Creations will bring a lot of gameplay options to the table.
Players will be able to explore the Gemology Skill with the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack, and this will unlock more crafting options on the Gemology Table. Making jewelry in The Sims 4 won't be purely for aesthetic purposes. Gamers can learn how to take advantage of the energy that some crystals may have to get powerful abilities or boosts. According to the gameplay trailer, if Orange Topaz is charged on the Crystal Grid, it'll allow Sims to gain creative skills faster. Jet, for example, makes it possible for Sims to summon the Grim Reaper at will.
Metals and crystals have always been part of the Household Collections tab in The Sims 4. To challenge themselves, players would often attempt to complete each collection by finding all its items. However, there was little else to do with these items. Thankfully, the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack will give the resources a fun use and motivate players to search for them through the various regions in The Sims 4.
The Sims 4 is the latest offering from Maxis and The Sims Studio, serving as a sequel to The Sims 3. Although it was released back in 2014, the game is still going strong today thanks to an array of DLC add-on packs that give players access to more unlockable items and events.

As any fool knows, the age of girlies bulk-buying silver wire and making their own crystal jewellery at home is over, but EA always arrives precisely when it means to. This weekend saw the release of the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack, a DLC for The Sims 4 that takes the ability to find crystals (already in the game) and straps on your Sims making them into semi-precious, semi-magic jewellery that can be charged up by the moon. What I find more interesting is that this launched with some official IRL Sims plumbob jewellery that you can buy and wear around your own precious, swan-like neck.
