@cheetahman91 Good to know. The Mike Flanagan Netflix series (loosely based on the same novel) is also pretty damn good. The remake is awful but weirdly fascinating in the way it completely undercuts every single thing that was good about the original — it's fast paced, obvious and loaded with crappy in-it-for- the-paycheck acting, signposted jump scares and lousy CGI.

@AgentCooper I thought AC1 was pants when I played it on the PS3 and I didn't get very far before it went off to fleabay. Not knowing what happened didn't stop me enjoying AC2 which was a vastly improved sequel.

Right so Iam not sure if Iam the only person who is curious about how Playstation Network or PSN actually works. I mean almost every time we boot up the console we are like almost always interacting with PSN in one way or the other.

Push Square has gone mainstream – well, at least as mainstream as you can get when it comes to UK quiz shows. As spotted and shared by reader BlaizeV (seriously, we’d never have known about this without you), our humble PlayStation community was referenced in a 29th September episode of Tipping Point. In the show, host Ben Shephard asks contestants which Sony console family the website is based on.

I Finished The Republic by Plato, Fascinating read. Also Read volume 1 of FullMetal Alchemist today and started Meantime by Frankie Boyle, 8 chapters in and brilliantly funny so far.

@TheBrandedSwordsman Man, that’s the Space Ghost Coast to Coast soundtrack, that’s one of my favourite shows. Utterly bizarre talk show sort of surreal thing, bit of a precursor to the Eric Andre Show.

@LtSarge I really like that one, it’s closer to a Hitchcock thriller in many ways. Red Grant is a brilliant villain and Rosa Klebb is still referred to at least in the UK whenever a slightly terrifying murdery older woman is on screen. I think the reason that it seems like it goes from one scene to the other is that a lot of thrillers from that period were paced in that way, and you have to get yourself in that mindset and pay much more attention than you would do with any blockbuster released after 2000. North by Northwest is an undisputed classic that I watched and it went in one ear and out the other, I think you have to be in the right environment and mood to watch a movie like that. Funnily enough Thunderball was like that for me too so good luck! Don’t worry, the Bond movies don’t get that involved and attention-demanding again until possibly In Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
