The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak demo launches June 4 for PS4, Switch

The Nintendo Switch is in its last year, but it's certainly not on its last legs. That much was made clear by the Japanese gaming giant at its Nintendo Direct showcase on Monday, where the company unveiled a packed slate of games coming to the hybrid console before it makes way for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. The 40-minute-long presentation served as a last hurray for the Switch, that has sold over 141 million units in its seven-year run since it went on sale in 2017. The successor to the Nintendo Switch, the third-highest selling game console of all time, will be announced next year, but the Switch's swansong will keep players busy till then.

A Switch demo for urban fantasy action RPG em>REYNATIS is now available via Nintendo eShop in Japan, publisher FuRyu and developer Natsume Atari announced.

Rhythm game KAMITSUBAKI CITY ENSEMBLE will launch for PlayStation 5, Switch, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android on August 29 for 440 yen, publishers and developers KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO and Studio Lalala announced. It will support English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

Publisher Spike Chunsoft and developers Toybox and Millennium Kitchen will release summer vacation adventure game Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation for PC via Steam on June 27 in Japan, the companies announced. Additionally, the new downloadable content “Sunset Island and the Radio Station” will launch on June 19 for 1,980 yen for the existing Switch version, and day and date with the PC version’s release on June 27.

Free-to-play RPG The New Denpa Men will launch for Switch on July 22 worldwide, developer Genius Sonority announced.

Square Enix has announced Romancing SaGa 2 remake Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch on October 24 worldwide for $49.99.

Spike Chunsoft has announced sound novel Kamaitachi no Yoru x3 for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC. It will launch on September 19 in Japan for 3,600 yen.

Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online has added Perfect Dark with online multiplayer and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online has added The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords and Metroid: Zero Mission, Nintendo announced.

Publisher NIS America and developer Nippon Ichi Software have announced strategy RPG Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch in 2025.

Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for Switch. It will launch on September 26.

Capcom has announced Ace Attorney Investigations Collection for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). It will launch on September 6 worldwide for $39.99.

Nintendo will release a free update for Nintendo Switch Sports this summer that adds basketball as a new playable sport, the company announced.
