The Last Oricru ‘Final Cut’ update now available

Dotemu has released a major free update for Windjammers 2, which adds new playable characters Jamma GX03 and Anna Szalinski, as well as “Lessons” and “Practice” modes, and new online features like lobbies and full cross-play.

While the planned multiplayer game based on The Last of Us has been seeing quite a bit of problems in development, the game was reportedly slated to feature 40-player lobbies. The number comes from the LinkedIn profile for former associate game designer at Naughty Dog Ian Blake, whose work seems to include an unannounced multiplayer project with support for up to 40 clients.

Last Train Home has been given a release date of November 28th for PC, and demo is now available on Steam. Rumours of a remaster of The Last of Us Part 2 are refusing to go away. Rumours first emerged in January of last year that a director’s cut of the acclaimed PS4 title was in the works, while as recently as this July, The Last of Us composer Gustavo Santaolalla let slip that a “new version” of the game was in development.

It appears The Last of Us 2: Remastered is on the way, as accidentally confirmed by one of Naughty Dog's developers. 

A high-level designer leaves Naughty Dog as the company pauses development of the untitled multiplayer game. Most of the studio’s recent layoffs targeted part-time employees from the quality assurance department. Now the game’s Principal Monetization Designer, Anders Howard, has also left the company.

Naughty Dog’s attempts to create a live service multiplayer game set in the Last of Us universe don’t seem to be working out too well. Recent reports have claimed that the developer’s standalone multiplayer The Last of Us project has been put “on ice”, which in turn followed reports from earlier in the year that the project’s development team had been scaled back after an internal re-evaluation by Sony.

Rockstar Games has released the version 1.03 update for the PlayStation 4 version of Red Dead Redemption, which adds a 60 frames per second toggle in the “Display” options menu when played on PlayStation 5.
