Following a recent update, a new weapon bug is ruining matches in The Finals and Embark Studios has acknowledged the issue and provided some insight into plans for dealing with it. This week, The Finals received update 1.5, which was a big step for improving a lot of aspects of the popular online shooter. One of the bigger additions through this update was the first limited time game mode called Solo Bank It, which tweaked the rules by pitting 12 players against one another to see who could acquire and bank 40,000 in cash. Ditching the team strategy, each player in this mode is fighting individually for glory.

Destructive game-show shooter The Finals has received its biggest update yet. Patch 1.5 arrives with a litany of bug fixes, balance changes and more, along with the introduction of a brand new mode - the game’s first time-limited variant, as well as its first mode for solo players.

I'm a Heavy main in The Finals, its biggest class' massive health pool making up for my horrendous aim. Coupled with my trusty RPG, all that extra HP means that I love seeing a lobby full of Light and Medium characters - as long as I don't get too close, most of them will struggle to kill me in a straight gunfight. But as The Finals' meta has settled down, I've seen fewer and fewer Lights - and I fear that the new The Finals update might have all-but killed the class for now.

The Finals developers have decided to take those trials to heart, and nerfed the controllers' aim assist to make the game slightly more fair. 

Core Engage and Daedalic Entertainment have released a new overview trailer for New Cycle, their post-apocalyptic "dieselpunk" city management game. "New Cycle" is obviously a bit of a self-contradiction, and I suspect that's deliberate - one of the questions the video leaves you with is whether there is "a future beyond survival", or whether we are doomed to just repeat the processes of extraction and gradual building-up, resource overexploitation and encroaching disaster suggested by these 12 jam-packed minutes of in-game footage.

The Finals has a new patch and though it's not a big one, it's arguably a substantial set of changes. Specifically, update 1.4.1 addresses various issues with aim assist and zoom snapping - features designed to support those who play with a controller whether on PC or console.
