The Elder Scrolls: Castles is an upcoming simulation title by Bethesda Game Studios. It’s expected to drop in December 2024 but is up for pre-registrations now. Bethesda is best known for Fallout Shelter, the free-to-play construction and management sim game and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Well, castles! In the title, you’ll don the role of a ruler and build castles and manage your dynasty. One interesting angle about the game is that one day in the real world equals a whole year in the game. And during these years, you can build rooms, decorations and furniture of your choice for your castle.
There’s a bit of strategy when you assign your subjects to keep the resources flowing and your kingdom growing. There’s turn-based combat where you can gear up your heroes and battle it out with classic Elder Scrolls enemies. If this sounds fun, check out The Elder Scrolls: Castles on the Google Play Store.
The Elder Scrolls: Castles is the third mobile addition to The Elder Scrolls series. The previous two games are Legends (2017) and Blades (2019). The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a strategy card game inspired by the Elder Scrolls RPG series. You get to build your deck, snag a variety of cards and explore places like Morrowind and Clockwork City. You can also have dragon showdowns in Skyrim.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades is a dungeon-crawling game. You play as a Blade, an agent of the Empire, who suddenly ends up in exile. As you make a run for it, you swing by your village only to find it’s all messed up. The Elder Scrolls series has a bunch of titles for PC and consoles, including Skyrim, Morrowind and Oblivion (all of which won multiple Game of the Year awards).
