Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is all about decadence and riding slick cars around its urban Hong Kong environment, or, at least, that’s what it’s mostly about. There actually is a more wild side to Hong Kong and during today’s Nacon Connect showcase we got a new trailer for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown which shows off the game’s grittier offroad side and some of its heavier vehicles, including trucks, SUVs, and more. Check out the trailer for yourself, below.
While we’re at it, here’s a couple more trailers we haven’t posted – the first focuses on the more laid back city cruising experience…
…while the second is about the game’s high-octane races.
Those watching the new trailer may have noticed a lack of dust and dirt being kicked up by the cars, but the game's developers promise that will be added later...
"The more observant among you will have noticed the absence of particle effects, especially dust and splashes on gravel roads. We're still working on integrating and optimizing these effects. It's an important element of off-road immersion but also resource- and performance-intensive. Our current development goal for this is to find the best balance between particle effects and performance while ensuring smooth gameplay remains a priority. Although we can display long dust trails like in the WRC games with the KT Engine, the scale of Hong Kong Island and the resources required to display other players and the detailed environments means it's much more of a challenge in TDUSC."
Haven’t been keeping up with what's going on with Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown? Here’s a quick official description.
