A new Tekken 8 mod for the game's demo version, allows users to enable Unreal Engine 5's Lumen tech, and more.
As said, this freshly released "Tekken Overlay" mod is for the demo version of the game (thanks Dsogaming), but we're pretty sure that the mod will also be made available for the full version later on. Although the latest Tekken entry is made in Unreal Engine 5, it doesn't support Nanite, Virtual Shadow Maps, or Lumen. This new mod adds the option to use Lumen Global Illumination and reflection system. In addition, it adds an option to disable the game's baked-in lighting as Lumen doesn't require this.
Not only does this mod add a Lumen option, it also includes an FPS unlocker, which aims to smooth out animations. In addition, this overlay comes with the option to disable upscaling, change anti-aliasing, character lights, and more. There's also an option to enable simplified stages and disable effects, which should result in some performance gains by decreasing GPU and CPU load. We've included the main features of this Tekken 8 mod below. As said, this mod is currently only available for the demo version of the game, but it will likely also be made available for the full game upon or soon after its release.
Those interested can download this mod here. As expected, this mod is only available on PC.
Tekken 8 launches later this week on January 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. As covered earlier, the game will support crossplay between the different platforms. Be sure to read our very own review of the game right here.
