Survival horror remake Alone in the Dark delayed to 2024 because "there are too many amazing games coming out this October"

Continuing its trend of bringing games from The Dark Pictures Anthology to the Nintendo Switch, developer Supermassive Games and publisher Bandai Namco have announced that The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will be coming to Nintendo’s platform on October 5. The game is now also available to pre-order on the eShop.

THQ Nordic has announced it's delaying promising PS5 horror title Alone in the Dark to 16th January 2024 to avoid the extremely busy release schedule of October. The game was originally slated to release in amongst Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake 2, but will now represent one of the first major game launches of next year.

The scariest thing to video game developers isn’t ghosts or monsters, as the new Alone in the Dark game has been pushed to 2024, partly to avoid an incredibly busy October gaming season, where it would have competed with Alan Wake 2 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This is a wise decision, considering how packed 2023 has been as a whole, especially as Alone in the Dark also needs extra polish time.
