Street Fighter 6 – DLC Fighter Rashid is Now Live

By all accounts, Street Fighter 6 is a hit fighting game that's received overwhelming praise from critics and players alike, selling more than two million copies since June 2, 2023. It headlined the Evolution Championship Series. It's a staple on Twitch and other streaming platforms. So, when I had the chance to chat with members of the game's development team at Evo 2023 during Sunday Finals, I leaped at the opportunity.

Capcom and Nickelodeon revealed a delightful collaboration for Street Fighter 6 at Evo 2023 this weekend, letting players dress up their avatars as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Far less delightful for Street Fighter fans was the price of those TMNT outfits: Each one costs roughly the equivalent of $15 in Street Fighter 6’s in-game currency, Fighter Coins.

Capcom has come under fire for the high cost of Street Fighter 6’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC.

A totally radical crossover event is kicking off tomorrow, with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Street Fighter 6 collaboration starting on 8th August.

Over the weekend at EVO 2023, some news arose from the recently released Street Fighter 6. The first comes in the way of a new collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There is currently a new movie in theaters, but from the looks of it, this collaboration will focus on the traditional style of the Ninja Turtles rather than what is in the movie. Starting on August 8, players will be able to style their custom avatars with TMNT gear an emotes. Players also have access to new Titles, Stamps, and custom in-game mobile wallpaper and camera frames. World Tour and Battle Hub can also have custom avatars to represent each of the Turtles.

Last night in Las Vegas, many eyes were on Street Fighter 6. The newly launched entry in Capcom’s fighting game series held the final slot of Grand Finals day at Evo 2023. With record entrants and an already warm reception, it’s easy to say expectations were high. Still, I don’t think we could have expected the stellar grand finals Street Fighter 6 got.

Following her announcement as the first all-new character to join the Street Fighter 6 roster by way of DLC, A.K.I. gave fans a taste of what to expect when she is added to the game this fall. During this weekend's Evo 2023 fighting game tournament, we received a host of new announcements, including new characters added to the roster of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 and even a surprise TMNT collaboration with Street Fighter 6. However, Capcom didn't stop there, as it gave us the first teaser trailer for its 20th playable character, A.K.I.

Street Fighter 6 is popular right now. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is also pretty hot at the moment, especially with a new animated film out in theaters. That’s probably why Capcom is bringing the latter into the former in a fun-looking collaboration.
