Starfield Sold More Physical Units on Xbox Series X/S Than PC in the UK

From classic literature and movies to TV and video games, the horror genre has become one of the most popular and widespread categories of culture, and although many horror games exist on most consoles and have since the beginning of the video game industry, the Xbox Series X/S has an almost unbelievable amount to choose from. Despite the abundance of games on the system, some horror games on the latest generation of Xbox are far scarier than others.

Alan Wake 2 has continued to stun and impress with its visuals and spooky but enticing world since its reveal during The Game Awards 2021. Since then, we've seen beautiful concept art, trailers, gameplay, and more of developer Remedy Entertainment's latest. Today, Remedy communications director Thomas Puha confirmed on Twitter that Alan Wake 2 will have a Performance mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Those buying an Xbox Series X can get a free Starfield copy at select retailers, including Verizon and Target.

Xbox announced a slew of new titles coming to its Game Pass subscription service this year. At its Tokyo Game Show segment, held Thursday, the publisher confirmed that Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be available to members for free on day one i.e., November 9. In it, Kazama Kiryu, the famous Yakuza who faked his death to protect his family, slips into the black suit once again and works as a bodyguard codenamed ‘Joryu.' His cover is soon threatened when a mysterious figure with ties to the past comes to haunt him, spawning a crazed frenzy across the streets of Japan, as we punch our way through hordes.

The recent leaks of Microsoft’s court documents for its recent trial against the FTC have dominated the news cycle for several days now, and more new nuggets of information are still continuing to filter through. For instance, it’s now also emerged that out of Microsoft’s two current-gen Xbox consoles, the less powerful (and cheaper one) had a significantly larger share of the market than its counterpart, at least as of early last year.

Starfield has enjoyed a great deal of success, to no one’s surprise, becoming Bethesda’s biggest launch ever with over 6 million players. And, as many would have predicted, the sci-fi RPG’s release has also resulted in boosted sales for Xbox Series X/S.
