A determined Stardew Valley player created an impressive farm that was heavily inspired by the game's unpopular corporate retail entity, JojaMart. The unusual JojaMart-themed estate was shared on the internet, where it received many compliments from fellow gamers.
Released in 2016, the farm life simulator Stardew Valley won the hearts of many with its pleasant pixel-based visuals, simple game mechanics, and extremely cozy vibe. The game primarily takes place in Pelican Town, a small yet incredibly charming community located in the game's titular Stardew Valley. Despite being a mostly peaceful experience, Stardew Valley has an antagonist in the form of JojaMart, a corporate retail store that players can choose to support in order to achieve a special ending. One player has decided to back JojaMart in one of their playthroughs, and the appearance of their farmstead fully reflected that support.
In a recent post on the Stardew Valley subreddit, user RedTheWolf showed off their impressive JojaMart-themed farm. The so-called JojaJam Farm featured landscaping that spelled out the words «Joja» and «thrive,» as well as buildings that were painted in the deep blue JojaMart is associated with. Even RedTheWolf's home carried the JojaMart theme, sporting blue decor and other items that are available at Stardew Valley's JojaMart branch.
RedTheWolf told community members that they were on a JojaMart run, or the route that leads to the appearance of a Joja Warehouse in Stardew Valley. They also explained that they went with their current farm design because they wanted the place to be as tacky as possible. Fellow Reddit users, however, praised the unique farm layout, with some calling it stylish and hip. One commenter even claimed RedTheWolf's estate was one of the best Stardew Valley farms they had seen in a while.
Eric Barone, the developer of Stardew Valley, previously revealed that the game’s upcoming 1.6 update would make some changes to the title's JojaMart route, specifically with regard to its late-game content. Stardew Valley’s update 1.6 will also introduce new areas, festivals, items, and 8-player multiplayer for PC, among a host of other things.
Barone's next game, Haunted Chocolatier, could also have a JojaMart-like entity as the two projects are expected to be very similar to one another. The biggest challenge for Barone, who is more known by his nickname ConcernedApe, would be creating an antagonist for Haunted Chocolatier that would be just as interesting and impactful as Stardew Valley's JojaMart.
