Aspyr's has brought both of Pandemic Studios' acclaimed 2000s-era games to modern devices. As well as remastering the wealth of content from the base games, which covered iconic moments from the original and prequel trilogies through their single-player campaigns and a variety of multiplayer modes, Aspyr has incorporated many other bonus features for both newcomers and more experienced players to enjoy, creating a more complete package across all modern gaming platforms.
The is on PC and Nintendo Switch, along with PlayStation and Xbox consoles, with cross-gen multiplayer between the PS5 and PS4, and the Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One.
The will include two bonus playable characters, Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress, the latter of which is the only canon character who didn't appear in the original trilogy or the prequels, instead making her debut in Genndy Tartakovsky's original mini-series in 2003. Much like Asajj Ventress, Kit Fisto's appearance is also pulled from the 2003 mini-series, in which he was shirtless during the Battle of Mon Calamari, unlike in other media in other media where he wears traditional Jedi robes. Kit Fisto also has unique animations for his tentacle-esque hair.
Both Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress were only available previously via DLC exclusive to Xbox Live, so while those who played on the original Xbox may already be familiar with these characters and how they play, and PC players have enjoyed ported or modded versions of them over the years, this will be the first time these characters will be available on PlayStation and Nintendo devices.
The original games were released on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC but never saw a release on Nintendo's console at the time, the Nintendo Gamecube, making the the first time the games can be played natively on Nintendo devices.
The bonus characters in represent both sides of the Force, with Asajj Ventress being a Sith assassin from Dathomir and Kit Fisto being a Jedi Master from Nautolan, known for his valiant exploits during the Clone Wars. Both of these characters had unique animations and movesets that no other characters had in the game. For example, Kit Fisto is equipped with his green lightsaber, which he can throw, and also uses a unique Force Orb attack which works similarly to that of a rocket launcher, creating splash damage. Both Kit Fisto's lightsaber and Force attacks allowed for broad, sweeping attacks, capable of stunning or hitting multiple enemies simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Asajj Ventress wields her iconic Linksabers. These consist of two lightsabers connected by a fibercord that she holds in one hand, allowing her to switch between a single-blade attack with one in her hand and one tucked under her arm, and a double-bladed attack
