Spider-Man 2 has a lot of MCU suits, bringing all of Tom Holland's different looks to the game alongside an original design. That makes nine total, nine little Tom Hollands crammed into the menu waiting to be plucked out. That's far too many as far as fans are concerned.
"This being Peter's max level craftable suit may be Insomniac's biggest troll yet," CazBrown posted to the game's subreddit, attaching a photo of the black and gold inverted MCU suit from No Way Home. "I can't express how much I hate this thing."

"Having nine or ten MCU suits is a bigger troll," _Reapak_ replied.
"Do we really need like eight MCU Spider-Man suits and did they have to take up almost all of the final unlockable spaces?" Queef-Elizabeth said. "Five of the final six unlockable suits are from the MCU and they're almost all from the first game. I thought I was the only one who let out a big groan when I saw it was the damn NWH suit."
The full list of MCU suits brought into Spider-Man 2 is as follows:
Of course, there are also MCU fans who are ecstatic to have a game with every costume at their disposal. That doesn't explain New Blue which feels more like an Upgraded colour swap, but the point is that every movie is more or less represented (there's no Spider-Verse Peter B. Parker, unfortunately).
It's not just the Tom Holland cosmetics that fans are upset with, but the lack of symbiote suits and other highly-requested picks for Peter.
"I was really hoping for a symbiote variant of Andrew Garfield's suits where they just give it the black and silver colour pallet of the Raimi symbiote suit," CazBrown said.
"I just want the Ultimate Spider-Man suit, man," TheAslumePrince commented.
"[The final costume] should've been a classic Alex Ross suit," Tom-edian said.
Peter isn't the only one catching flack. Miles Morales gets a new 'canon' suit in-game, one he designs himself to stand out from Peter. The top of the mask is exposed to let his hair out, he has custom Adidas trainers, and long bright blue lines representing his new electric power. But many have labeled it garish and ugly, begging Insomniac to abandon it for Spider-Man 3. It does have some fans though, like our own Editor-in-Chief Stacey Henley.
