SEGA has announced Sonic Rumble, a 32-player battle royale based on the Sonic the Hedgehog series developed in collaboration with Rovio. It will launch for iOS and Android this winter. A closed beta test will run from May 24 to 26. Sign-ups are available now via the official website.

The game will allow up to 32 players to compete against each other in different challenges, some of which are shown in the footage.
