Some fans think Spider-Man will team up with Invincible in season 2

Marvel Comics has confirmed that the "notorious" Spider-Man sequel it previously teased will in fact be a sequel to writer/artist Kaare Andrews' 2006 limited series Spider-Man: Reign.

They’ll get a deep narrative, some incredible gameplay, nice boss fights, and a beautiful-looking title, thanks to the power of the PS5. So yeah, it’s a lot to look forward to. Insomniac has been dropping trailers and teases of what to expect in the game, but they’ve also had fun posting gifs and poking fun at themselves in the process. Insomniac's first two Spider-Man titles were chock full of suits, but two games aren't enough to unpack Spider-Man's extensive 60-year history, so there is plenty left for Insomniac to use. That's what fans have been discussing on the subreddit.

During an interview for book (which was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike), opened up about his experience filming Sony Pictures‘ blockbuster 2021 movie, revealing that he developed a “real connection” with fellow Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. The Golden Globe nominee expressed how much fun he had on the set of No Way Home, describing it as a “special” experience.

When Insomniac Games revealed they were doing a title based on Spider-Man, many fans were intrigued about what would come next. But even by their wildest imaginations, it’s hard to think they could’ve pictured what we got. Their first title, which later became Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, was a near masterpiece in terms of characters, story, and gameplay. Then, they did a spinoff game for the PS5 starring Miles Morales, detailing his first days as a true Spider-Man. Fast forward to now, and one of the most-anticipated games of 2023 is the third game in this series, and it looks to put the other two to shame with how big it’s going.

Is there room on the big screen for more than one live action Spider-Man? Andrew Garfield, the Peter Parker of the Amazing Spider-Man film franchise, the character's second movie incarnation, has offered up some recent comments that have fans hopeful he might come back as Spider-Man again. And at the same time, Thomas Hayden Church, who played Sandman in the original Spider-Man movie franchise, has speculated on the possibility of revisiting the version of Peter Parker played by Tobey Maguire, saying he's heard rumors that Maguire and director Sam Raimi could make a new Spidey movie together.

But Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fans are now dealing with these scalpers again. 

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is getting a Limited Edition PS5 Bundle on September 1st, and pre-orders are available now. The bundle retails for $599.99/£569.99 and includes a PS5 with custom faceplates, a custom DualSense controller and a digital game voucher for the game.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is shaping up to be a super-hero power fantasy for the ages, with players able to play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and with the infamous alien Symbiote suit AKA Venom in the offing. Well, it looks like Insomniac wanted to one-up even themselves, and we got a glimpse at something quite cool, although how it all comes about narratively is anyone's guess.

Update: Pre-orders will open on 28th July for a stunning new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition hardware model. The console, which features a custom design, will be available in two permutations, both with or without a Blu-ray disc slot. It’ll also come with a matching DualSense design, showcasing the duality of Peter Parker’s struggle against the Venom symbiote.
