Announced during today's Nintendo Direct, the game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S and will feature an additional story chapter with two complete story paths, new locations, new demons, and new choices to shape the Nahobino's fate. The Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance announcement doesn't come as a surprise, as the game was rated in Korea earlier this week, and a PC version was leaked back in 2021. Still, it is good there's an official confirmation of the game launching on platforms more powerful than the Switch, as the original release was really limited by the console's specs, as I highlighted in my review.
While on the field, Shin Megami Tensei V runs at an uncapped framerate, and the performance varies wildly, ranging from very short moments where the game runs at 60 FPS to moments when it visibly drops below 30 FPS. Generally, having a few character models on screen is more than enough for performance to tank, and given how many demons roam the field, the game never runs smoothly outside of combat, which definitely feels better thanks to the 30 FPS cap. The uneven performance while exploring fields also leads to a small but noticeable input delay that, while not massive, does make moving and jumping on the big fields feel a little off.

Sandworms play a major part in Dune: Awakening, the big survival MMO coming some time soon from Funcom, the developers behind Conan: Exiles — but the game won't feature the novel's famous sandworm-riding come launch. And, presumably much more importantly for Conan fans, there'll be no penis sliders either.

New details about Version 4.6 of Genshin Impact have been leaked, and they point in a direction entirely different from the earlier Ruins of Remuria map expansion. Though there has always been an expectation that Fontaine would receive its final map expansion in Version 4.6, it would seem that Genshin Impact is content to break yet another pattern by releasing a zone closer to Bayda Harbor and the door to Khaenri'ah instead. Considering that leaks were pointing towards Cyno's second Story Quest being ready for Version 4.6, this pivot back to Sumeru makes a lot of sense in hindsight.
2021 was stacked for JRPGs, yet Shin Megami Tensei 5 still managed to win a spot in my personal picks for the year alongside the likes of Bravely Default 2 and Tales of Arise. So it's immensely exciting to see Atlus giving the game a shot in the arm with Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, an expanded re-release of sorts that should sound familiar to anyone who played Persona 5 Royal.
A Genshin Impact chart has revealed more details about the overall banner revenue of the recent Limited Character Banner that featured Xianyun and Nahida. The game's limited banners allow players to pull for certain characters for a short period, approximately 3 weeks.
Riot Games announced all the way back in 2019 that it was developing a fighting game set in the League of Legends universe. At the time, the game was dubbed Project L, and that’s how it’s been continued to be referred to in the years since then. Now, however, Riot Games has formally re-revealed the fighter and given it a new official title in the form of 2XKO.
Elden Ring’s upcoming expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, got its first gameplay trailer, and FromSoftware isn’t easing up on the mystery, or the depth in the new content on the way.
