Atlus has announced that Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance will be released a week early. Instead of June 21st, it’s launching on June 14th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. A reason for moving the launch up wasn’t specified, though it could be to avoid competing with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, which launches on the same day.
Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance is essentially an enhanced version of the acclaimed 2021 RPG, with a new path that drastically changes the base game, new Demons, brand new locations and even a new playable character. It retails for $59.99, but there’s also a $69.99 Deluxe Edition, which includes three Mitama DLC for increased money, EXP and points for learning Miracles.
You also gain access to the sub-quests “Sakura Cinders of the East” and “Holy Will and Profane Dissent” to recruit Konohana Sakuya and Dagda. Pre-ordering also provides infinite-use items like Gleam Grenade for damaging all enemies and Haraedo Bead to recover party HP. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay en route to launch.
