Very few video game promotional products can actually make graphics better, but the official eyeglasses from Warby Parker can do just that. A tie-in between prescription glasses and a video game release is a different breed of cross-promotion from the norm, as fans usually see products aimed at children, like fast food restaurant toys or limited run cereals. This makes the Warby Parker collaboration stand out, since prescription eyeglasses are extremely practical, and can certainly do more to improve video game graphics than a new television.
A new video game is on the horizon, another addition to a selection of titles focused on Marvel heroes like the games and the upcoming from Insomniac Games. and have been confirmed to take place in the same universe, establishing the closest current video game equivalent to the shared worlds represented by Marvel Cinematic Universe films or any given comic continuity. While it may be exciting to see what Insomniac Games has in store for some of Marvel's most iconic villains, there is some concern that the studio may not be able to do justice to each character's arc, especially as it has spoken out about not wanting to do overly long games when discussing 's length. This seems to be a common complaint surrounding some of Sony's movies, with both 2007's and 2014's criticized for juggling multiple villains without giving a satisfactory amount of screen time to each villain's arc.
The spin-off title isn't quite as long as its predecessor, but it still manages to juggle a handful of villains. Insomniac Games' first game in the series,, put players in control of an experienced Peter Parker, thus including a deluge of villains, including the Sinister Six. ' villain slate is comparatively modest, clocking in at a total of five, but this smaller cast works for the benefit of the spin-off's runtime and the constraints of its narrative.
Insomniac had its work cut out for it with Spider-Man 2 . To say expectations were high going into this sequel is an understatement, buffered by both the first game's major success and the bridge between console generations that was Miles Morales. This new Spidey adventure had to take the best elements from those games, mix them with new characters, features, and stories, and produce the kind of game fans will talk about for years. Somehow, they did just that; Spider-Man 2 is, to get the easy pun out of the way early, amazing.
