If you can't get enough Star Wars in your life, then Respawn Entertainment's small slice of lightsaber-wielding action is not to be missed. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, one of the biggest games of 2023, is on sale for only $35 for PS5 and Xbox Series X at multiple retailers (down from $70). This 50% discount is the perfect opportunity to grab the new game, which continues the story of fugitive Jedi Cal Kestis and his ragtag crew as they struggle against the Galactic Empire in the years between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope.
Like the previous game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Survivor is a third-person action-adventure with metroidvania elements in its level design and weighty lightsaber combat inspired by Dark Souls. The game continues the story of Cal Kestis, who has become a seasoned Jedi Knight in the time between Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. As you journey across the Outer Rim of the galaxy, he'll become even stronger in the ways of the Force.
In GameSpot's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor review, Jordan Ramée praised the game's «Exhilarating lightsaber combat and physics-defying platforming puzzle challenges,» and lauded the game's story about overcoming fear, survivor's guilt, and self-doubt, calling it «the Jedi story I've wanted for a long time.»
