GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is playable at Xbox’s booth on the Gamescom 2023 show floor. However, while the developer said it wouldn’t delay the title to next year – with Plaion listing it for release on December 1st in its online store – a new fact sheet claims the opposite.
It notes that the survival shooter will be released in Q1 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a day-one launch on Game Pass. As part of a press kit, the fact sheet reiterates previously confirmed details, from the survival mechanics (like taking meds to deal with the Exclusion Zone’s effects) and over 30 firearm models to Unreal Engine 5 being used for development.
The new release window isn’t reflected on Steam, with a December 2023 release still specified or Xbox.com and the Epic Games Store, which still list it for release this year. These may take time to update, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out some gorgeous screenshots of the survival shooter here.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has impressed on several fronts in all that’s been shown of it so far, which, of course, includes how it’s shaping up on a visual and technical level. With the game now a little more than a month away from launch, developer Insomniac has also shared new screenshots to further drive home just how good it’s looking.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to be a much bigger game than its predecessors, with developer Insomniac Games having confirmed that the upcoming sequel’s open world New York will be roughly twice as large as the previous two entries in the series. New boroughs are being added in the form of Queens (where Aunt May’s house can also be visited) and Brooklyn, while Coney Island will also be present– though it seems one notable NYC landmark won’t be present in the game.

I never got round to playing Shiro's 4X-plus-RTS adaptation of Dune, but chuckling spice baron Nic Reuben deemed it "intricate", "polished" and "well-considered" in his early access review last year, and I trust his nose for these things. The game now has a 1.0 release date - 14th September 2023 - which will also bring a sixth major content update featuring the politically adept House Ecaz faction - who, if the press release speaks true, "wield power like a paint brush". You love to see it!
