GSC Game World has released a new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the long-awaited follow-up in the survival shooter series. It sees Strider, the ex-Monolith member from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, in dire straits. Check it out below.
Several other characters are featured, and protagonist Skif is between conflicting viewpoints and missions. Nevertheless, the dangers of the previous games remain as players venture into the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to search for artifacts and deal with radiation and Mutants. There are also mysterious Anomalies and other humans, from Bandits to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, to deal with.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl promises to combine a branching story with horror, first-person shooter and immersive sim elements to go with survival mechanics. Developed on Unreal Engine 5, it offers over 30 firearms with extensive customization and launches in Q1 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also be available on day one for Game Pass.
