Debunking certain speculations, an insider confirmed that Tom Clancy's The Division Heartland has gone through notable changes. Until now, an extended period of little to no updates for The DivisionHeartland had the fans worried about the game's fate.
The Division has quickly established itself as one of the key IPs owned by publisher Ubisoft, alongside franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, Prince of Persia, and more. After shipping two mainline entries, The Division and The Division 2, Ubisoft is now preparing to add a mobile game called The Division Resurgenceand a multi-platform spin-off game, The Division Heartland, to the franchise. While Resurgence is expected to release in 2024, Heartland is also reportedly in the pipeline despite having gone through major tweaks.
According to Tom Henderson’s tweet, rumors of The Division Heartland being canceled are false as the title is still in development at Red Storm Entertainment. Further, he added that Heartland has changed a lot since its announcement in 2021, highlighting the incorporation of “some significant changes.” In the comments, several users noted the game’s underwhelming quality during its closed beta and hoped that the reported changes would improve the game.
Since it was first announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for The Division Heartland to get an official release date. Even though there is no word from Ubisoft on the game's release date yet, there had still been a stream of official information coming in to keep refueling fans' interest till last year. Despite keen onlookers spotting Heartland’s ESRB rating not too long ago, the French publisher hasn't shared an update about the spin-off game in several months. Worryingly, the game is also set to complete three years since its announcement but still has no release window in sight.
With the developer reportedly making big changes to the project in recent months, fans could expect to see fresh details emerge about Heartland in the near future. Moreover, since these changes have been called «significant,» fans upset with the game's beta phase may see noticeable improvements in key areas where it was lagging before. Importantly, since the game has been reported to still be a part of Ubisoft's plans, chances are fans will soon find out more about these changes in the following months. Such information could potentially be revealed at a Ubisoft Forward stream or at a gaming expo scheduled for later this year.
Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's The Division Heartland is a free-to-play third-person shooter that pits players against each other along with an environmental threat. Set in Silver Creek, Heartland features a day/night cycle, survival mechanics, and faction-based warfare.

A pair of recent reports have suggested that Nintendo’s successor to the Switch console — which we, along with everyone else, are calling Switch 2 for now — will have Joy-Con controllers that attach to the body of the device using strong, electronically-controlled magnets, rather than the sliding rail system used by the Switch.

The Sonic series is never in a rush to make many callbacks to the infamous Sonic '06. This is understandable, given that the game was universally poorly received and largely seen as the worst Sonic game ever released.

We all knew this was coming. Destiny 2: The Final Shape will make sweeping changes to the MMO's overly complicated Power system, streamlining the grind and making it easier to play with friends. The kicker is that all "legacy" items – you know, the ones that were sunset years ago – are coming back. Except they're also not, because most players already deleted them after they were sunset, and developer Bungie admits "we have no recovery mechanism."
As a story about stories, it’s no wonder that Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman would have some characters that other creators would want to pick up and play with. Sandman spinoff comics have starred Dream’s sister Death, the strange denizens of the Dreaming, and even Lucifer himself, leading to the the cult success of an entire LuciferTV series years before a Netflix series adapting The Sandman itself.
Well, that didn’t take long. After tech demos from the likes of Nvidia inviting us to chat with NPCs whose entire conversations are generated by AI, it looks like the first game built wholly on that controversial idea is due to arrive this year. Uncover the Smoking Gun puts its ChatGPT-powered dialogue front and centre, as the player’s detective interviews robot suspects to solve a murder case.
