Fortnite may soon collaborate with post-apocalyptic RPG franchise Fallout, if the word of a popular leaker is to be believed. This conclusion comes on the basis of similar past activity of developer Bethesda before announcing a crossover of one of its franchises with Fortnite.
Thanks to a brand-new TV series adaptation of Fallout, the RPG series is currently trending and attracting a slew of new fans. If a certain rumor is true, the franchise could be set to continue its momentum with a well-timed crossover with Fortnite. Over the years, numerous popular franchises---in gaming and beyond---have collaborated with Epic Games' popular battle royale game. And, it now appears Fallout may be joining the lineup later this month.
In a recent tweet, reputable leaker ShiinaBR pitched that a Fortnite-Fallout crossover may be on the cards as Fallout 4 is set to be available on Epic Games Store on April 25. This theory draws from a similar scenario in the past where The Elder Scrolls Online collaborated with Fortnite at the time of its Epic Games Store launch. Due to the fact that Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises belong to the same developer, Bethesda, there's a good chance the leaker's theory may materialize.
Bethesda recently announced that Fallout 4 will receive a large update on the day of its arrival on Epic Games Store. As confirmed by the developer, this content refresh will bring features, including support for wide and ultra-wide screens, new in-game content, and bug fixes. In addition to that, the game will also join the list of Steam Deck-verified titles on the same day.
Fortunately, for the fans, Fallout's premiere on Prime Video coincided with Bethesda giving away copies of multiple titles from the long-running franchise. For Prime Gaming subscribers, Fallout 76 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel are up for grabs to claim and keep forever. Further, fans can play Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas via Amazon Luna, the company's cloud gaming service, for a limited period. However, this cloud offering is only available in select countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, and some others.
Since the series hit Prime Video, long-time and new fans of the RPG franchise have expressed an overall positive opinion of Fallout's TV adaptation. On Rotten Tomatoes, Fallout currently has a 93% «fresh» score, whereas the average audience rating stands at 85% right now.
Fortnite is a massively popular game that has several modes, the most famous of which is the online battle royale mode. In this mode, players collect items, build structures, and battle it out to be the ultimate victor.

The Battle Cats are ‘catifying’ yet another game now. PONOS, the publishers of the game, just dropped some exciting news. They’re teaming up with Mad Head Limited’s Tower of Saviors for a collaboration event! It’s the first time these two mobile games are joining forces. So, let’s give you a quick lowdown on this Tower of Saviors x The Battle Cats crossover!
For years Fallout fans have wondered if a video game in the franchise will ever leave the United States for another country. According to Fallout lore, the nuclear war of 2077 upon which the franchise is based was not localized to the U.S., but a global event. And so, the idea of traipsing astound post-apocalyptic London or even Canada has long-been mooted by fans.
It’s been six years since Fallout 76 came out, and close to a decade since Fallout 4. Even if fervour surrounding the franchise wasn’t as high as it is right now thanks to the wild success of Amazon Prime’s Fallout series, demand for a new game would still be ravenous, but in the aftermath of the show, that feels doubly true. And even though it’s clearly going to be a while (to say the least) before that long-awaited new game releases, it seems like Bethesda might actually have two unannounced Fallout projects in the works in some capacity.
As great as it is to see the 3D Fallout games enjoying another moment in the sun following the popularity of Prime Video’s excellent TV adaptation, the games I most want to direct new fans toward are the classic original Fallout and Fallout 2. Aside from being where it all began, those are the stories that hold many of the answers people coming off of the show are looking for: the origins of Shady Sands, the Brotherhood of Steel, the Enclave, what happens when a vault’s water chip fails, and much more. Their stories, scenarios, and memorable moments have stuck with those of us who played them for decades, and bringing those same experiences to an entirely new audience that’s ravenous for Fallout content seems like a slam dunk.
Fallout fever is sweeping the globe at the moment, as the TV show has convinced everyone to pick up the series again. Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 are benefiting from massive influxes of new and returning players, and it now seems like Magic: The Gathering is also feeling the love too, with the recently released Fallout Universe Beyond decks projected to be the "best performing" Commander set ever released.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds - aka the game that inspired and then was overtaken by Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode - is seemingly borrowing a leaf from its cartoony cousin’s playbook by resurrecting its original map.
Magic: The Gathering’s recent set of Fallout-themed cards is the franchise’s “best-performing Commander set ever” said Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks. The announcement, made Wednesday during an earnings call with investors, brings attention to the potential of the trading card games’ ambitious Universes Beyond initiative. But it also highlights the risks of working with IP licensed from other companies.
Spoilers for the Fallout TV series.
The Fallout show answers the longest-running question in the series: who dropped the bombs first in the Great War? Or at least, it certainly seems to, but one fan thinks that this "reveal" is purposely misdirecting the audience.
Amid the success of the Fallout TV show, Fallout video games are enjoying a resurgence in popularity. The player boost is so significant that even NexusMods is struggling to cope.
A Fortnite fan has created a concept that imagines what it would be like if the game had a skin based on Fallout. Fortnite has a long list of collaborations with various personalities, such as Lewis Hamilton, Ariana Grande, and Neymar Jr. When it comes to skins based on other games, Fortnite has an equally impressive list of team-ups, adding a slew of beloved characters.
