Ever since the GTA 6 trailer was released, fans have been speculating about various aspects of the game. Courtesy of leaks, we already knew that GTA 6 was based in Vice City, and the game's trailer confirmed that it will indeed feature Miami-inspired Leonida at the centre. It is also reported to heavily focus on the improvement of gameplay mechanics, while some Red Dead Redemption 2 features might also make an appearance. Since it is the first GTA title in over 10 years, the developer is rumoured to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the game, but could that also mean a price hike for gamers?

The universe has begun a pretty significant expansion with the release of the hit TV adaptation released on Prime Video. There are more than 100 vaults located across the U.S., each of them holding a different horrific experiment inside — but longtime fans have pondered about what life outside of the U.S. must look like. For years Fallout fans have wondered if a video game in the franchise will ever leave the United States for another country. According to Fallout lore, the nuclear war of 2077 upon which the franchise is based was not localized to the U.S., but a global event. And so, the idea of traipsing astound post-apocalyptic London or even Canada has long-been mooted by fans.

Every Fallout game, dating back to the original in 1997, has been set in America. We've gone from New California to the Capital Wasteland to The Commonwealth, but never outside the USA.

As the series enjoys renewed interest and popularity across all its games, largely thanks to the breakout success of the TV series, it could be the perfect time for the series to return to its classic style of gameplay. Having made the shift from the series' classic style in the transition from to, modern games have largely found success — but the popularity of certain other games on the market could show demand for the old way as well.

The Fallout craze continues to pay dividends for Bethesda. Earlier this week, the studio announced that Fallout 76 surpassed one million daily players across all platforms for the first time since its launch in late 2018. The multiplayer game is one of the top sellers on Steam (and elsewhere), largely thanks to various promotions and offers that have, however, since ended. On Valve's PC platform, the game reached 73.3K concurrent players last Sunday.

Almost five million players were immersed in a Fallout game across a single day as a result of the TV show's popularity, Bethesda has revealed. Without saying when — but presumably on the weekend — the franchise's official Twitter profile shared that more than one million people played Fallout 76 within a single 24-hour period. Then, when taking the entire RPG series into account, there were nearly five million users on that same day.

The ongoing success of the Fallout TV show has fuelled renewed interest in the Fallout games ever since it hit Prime Video, and now Bethesda has confirmed just how big an impact it’s made.
