Electronic Arts launched their latest The Sims 4 expansion pack on the 7th of December. Adding a new gameplay element, The Sims 4: For Rent might be one of the most exciting expansions they have released yet.
Review: Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is Visually Stunning But Lacks Substance
One of the biggest draws to The Sims 4 is that it is a life simulation game. The Sims have been one of the best life simulation franchises for decades, and they are becoming more and more lifelike with each expansion. With every possibility from becoming an astronaut, a crime boss, going to university, and becoming a vampire at your fingertips, players need to ensure that their Sim survives and makes enough money to pay the bills and the rent.
Speaking of rent, The Sims 4: City Living was our first taste of apartment living in 2016, with the option to rent instead of buying property and dealing with issues that only a landlord can fix. For all those players who were wondering what it might feel like to be in charge of the apartment, it’s taken EA 7 years, but The Sims 4: For Rent is the answer.
The Sims 4: For Rent adds many new elements to the game, including a new residential world called Tomarang, new clothes, new decorations and appliances, aspirations, and, of course, the ability to become a successful property owner or the perfect tenant.

This expansion pack is one that was made particularly for Simmers who love to build their own lots and apartments, as well as deal with lot challenges. Starting with an empty lot, property owners can either stay on the premises with their tenants or on a different one. Changing the property’s attributes to a residential rental property.
From there, the game tells you everything you need to know about being a successful property owner, thanks to the in-depth tutorial. An expansion in The Sims 4 rarely comes with a full-blown tutorial because it isn’t the most self-explanatory addition to the game. Luckily, once you get through the tutorial, getting the hang of things is easy.
While The Sims 4 has always dominated the simulation games market, one thing that it still needs to scratch the itch for is the need for ample success. Starting your first apartment building feels like starting a slow climb to success. Working on your apartment and your relationship with your tenants as your apartments climb from 1 to 5 stars is surprisingly satisfying.
