Red Dead Redemption 3 Will “One Day” Happen But Don’t Count on Arthur Morgan, Voice Actor Believes

Roger Clark, the actor voicing and portraying Arthur Morgan in RDR2, believes that Red Dead Redemption 3 will happen eventually.

Following the highly successful debut of the first official GTA VI trailer earlier this week, the popular actor portraying fan-favorite Morgan was asked on X (formerly Twitter) about a possible sequel to Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 from 2018. In addition to being asked about a new entry in the franchise, the actor was also asked about his thoughts regarding the main character within a possible sequel. "I know you worked with Rockstar and there’s secrets that has to be kept, but do you think there is anything about RDR III, About the foundation of the gang or Arthur will be the main character or side character?", a fan asked Clark on X.

Although no confirmation about Red Dead Redemption 3 being made or whatsoever, Clark is fairly certain that Rockstar will release a sequel "one day". In his reply, the actor added that fans shouldn't count on the involvement of Arthur Morgan, as he believes his story has been told.

"I’m certain we will see RDR3 one day", Clark wrote on X. "When that will be - I have absolutely no idea. Don’t count on Arthur’s involvement either. His story has been told, I feel."

Given the success of Red Dead Redemption 2 and the popularity of its predecessors as well, it seems only likely for Rockstar and publisher Take-Two to release a sequel at some point. Given the current long development cycles of games, however, and more particularly- those of Rockstar - don't expect it anytime soon. For reference, Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 with its sequel following in 2018. Also, GTA V (one of the most financially successful entertainment products of all time, and the second-best-selling videogame to date) was released back in 2013, and Rockstar doesn't plan to release its sequel - GTA VI - before 2025.
