Red Dead Redemption 2 Looks Outright Stunning With Visual Redemption Mod

The weapons are what really tie the bow on western RPG. From iconic guns like the revolver to a variety of bolt action rifles, shotguns, and more, there is a plethora of old-timey weapons to choose from. However, given the age these weapons are from, not every gun in the game is reliable. In fact, it's quite clear which rifles are the best in. However, given that it's been over a decade since its release, it's a good idea to brush up on the best weapons in the game.

It might be rather a far cry from his previous work on the likes of Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and the Call of Duty series, but developer Tony Gowland’s new game Dungeon Golf is a quirky, fun spin on mini-golf with a ton of charm, and it’s getting a big free update to celebrate the Halloween season.

Red Dead Redemption 2 could have gone on forever. Like GTA 5, which has enjoyed a lifespan of more than ten years thanks to Grand Theft Auto Online, the world of RDR 2 is so rich, so full, that we could have been a hootin’ and a hollerin’ with new material and DLC for years. Sadly, that seems ever more unlikely. With official GTA 6 news still absent, Rockstar is once again selling the Red Dead Redemption 2 Halloween Pass 2, the same one that we got in 2021 and again in 2022. The world of Arthur Morgan and John Marston is truly coming to an end.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to feature some impressive visuals that will be so far ahead of those seen in Red Dead Redemption 2 that the gap between them will be bigger than that between the open-world game set in the Wild West and Grand Theft Auto V.

Red Dead Redemption and of course RDR 2 are the definitive videogame westerns. But you take the rootin’, tootin’, and shootin’ of John Marston and Arthur Morgan’s Rockstar adventures and splice them with the superlative Valheim, and you get something very cool indeed. This is the wonderfully named Don’t Die In The West, a new Steam builder and strategy sim, with a hint of Don’t Starve thrown in the mix, that you can try right now absolutely free.

Earlier this week, Rockstar quietly added a 60fps toggle to Red Dead Redemption on PlayStation 5. The game, which was released back in August for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, can be played on PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility. And now, that little toggle gives PlayStation 5 users a new framerate to play around with while exploring the Wild West.

Rockstar Games revealed that it was bringing Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare DLC to PlayStation 4 and Switch back in August. It did so, and while the game looked great on both consoles, it was only playable at 30 FPS. PlayStation 5 owners were left wondering if Rockstar wasn't tapping into the power of the current-gen console to bring 60 FPS to the 13-year old game. You could already play Red Dead Redemption in 60 FPS on Xbox Series X/S. 

Despite having been released a while back, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to be one of the best-looking open-world games ever released, especially on PC with the right mods.

Red Dead Redemption's PS4 remaster just got a very welcome update: there's now an option to run the game at 60fps.

Red Dead Redemption update: While the world is waiting for news on GTA 6, Rockstar Games has quietly added a much-needed feature to the Red Dead Redemption port on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. For years, PlayStation fans had been waiting for Red Dead Redemption to arrive on the PS4. The game was launched back in 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and although it was initially accessible on the PS4 via PlayStation Now for a few years, the cloud service was scrapped, meaning that there was no way for gamers to enjoy Rockstar's original take on the Wild West. What added to the misery was the game was available on PS4's major competitor, the Xbox One, through backwards compatibility.

Patch 1.03 for Red Dead Redemption has sneaked in a 60fps mode for those playing on PlayStation 5.  When the game launched on PlayStation 4 in August many people questioned why the game was not running at 60fps and 4K.

Red Dead Redemption was a hit game when it was first released into the marketplace. The video game took players back to the Wild West, where outlaws thrived, and the law used its limited resources in an attempt to establish order. Initially, Rockstar Games had received some flack for going in this direction, especially with the studio being so loved for the Grand Theft Auto series. However, that quickly changed upon release, and fans loved their narrative journey with former outlaw John Marston.
