Sea of Thieves is one of the four Xbox titles heading for new shores with its PS5 port — not only that, it's the first ever PlayStation game from Rare. The seafaring multiplayer game lets you live out all kinds of pirate-themed adventures in its sandbox environment, and we're excited to finally take it for a spin. A big draw for some, though, is the allure of a good Trophy list, and Sea of Thieves is looking to deliver on that front big time.

Dragon's Dogma 2 dropped to impressively high review scores last month, earning Capcom yet another hit with critics — but now that it's been out for a little while, we want to know what you think of this open world RPG. Indeed, player opinion seems to be a bit more divided, although we're well aware that some people have been waiting 12 years for this sequel, and that fact might have counted towards heightened expectations.

Capcom has published a player survey for Dragon's Dogma 2. It asks for opinions on various aspects of the game, including what you like and dislike about it. But the most interesting question comes right at the end, which reads: «Would you be interested in purchasing DLC for Dragon's Dogma 2, if additional contents were to be released?»

April's PS Plus Essential games have been officially announced, and as per usual, we're looking at three titles spread across PS5 and PS4. At a glance, however, we're tempted to say that this is one of the weaker months in recent memory.

There have been lots of big games lately, so we assume those are still very much front and centre, but then there's the Stellar Blade demo to keep you busy, too. Square Enix has dropped a substantial new update for Star Ocean: The Second Story R, which released for PS5 and PS4 last year. Already an incredibly well-made remake of a classic RPG, this patch adds some welcome features, such as a new difficulty level, new endgame bosses, new options for starting New Game+, and more.

boasts delightfully intricate gameplay systems, and people are still discovering not-so-hidden mechanics and features to exploit. Some features are relatively intuitive, found naturally by simply completing missions. In the chaos of Terminid and Automaton combat, however, Helldivers are hard-pressed simply to survive from one skirmish to another. In the pandemonium, many of the game’s unique mechanics hide in plain sight – in view but out of focus.

Sony's big PS Plus Extra update is scheduled to take place tomorrow, but as 13 PS5, PS4 and Classic titles arrive, seven will be going the other way. As communicated in the service's Last Chance to Play section on PS5, some games will be removed for members, and you'll need to buy them if you want to keep playing. The PS Plus Extra titles leaving on 19th March 2024 are as follows:

TV and film actor Ian McShane has lent his voice to a comprehensive overview trailer for Dragon's Dogma 2 ahead of its PS5 launch next week. A glut of additional PS5 and PS4 games are coming to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium this week, and as is usually the case, there's a lot of variety on show. March's update, which consists of 13 titles across the two tiers, has everything from sports sim NBA 2K24 to ultra-niche Super Neptunia RPG.

Originally an Xbox (and PC) exclusive, wacky action title Hi-Fi Rush is now available on PS5. This tune-infused brawler was one of the highest rated releases of 2023 — and so we're eager to learn if you're jumping in for the first time.
