QuakeCon 2023 is all set to go and will be kicking off next week. In the meantime, you can pick up some modern and retro Bethesda and id Software games as an early celebration for the event through Quakecon 2023 sale discounts.
Whether you’re on Xbox or PC, there are a bunch of classic titles that are being discounted. You can either head over to the Xbox store or GOG.com and peruse the games that are currently on offer, with some slashed by up to 85%.
You’ll notice there’s a smorgasbord to choose from, whether you want something a bit more contemporary, like Hi-Fi Rush or Deathloop, or something a bit older but still popular, like Skyrim or the Dishonored games.
However, many of you will be drawn to the plethora of legendary, old-school games that are also in the sale. For example, you can take things back to Bethesda days of yore by picking up the first two Elder Scrolls game for free. Even Morrowind (the third entry in the series) is going dirt cheap.
If retro shooters are your thing, the first four Quake games are on offer, while Wolfenstein 3D is a staggering 70% off. Of course, you can’t talk classic FPS without mentioning Doom and, yep, they’re currently discounted as well.
For those who don’t know, QuakeCon is an annual game convention that began in 1996. Originally a way for people to celebrate the early Quake and Doom releases, the event has since ballooned into something bigger.
This year will see QuakeCon 2023 return to in-person after being a digital-only convention for the past three years. The event runs from August 10 to August 13, and will be held at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

In the original trilogy, they kinda just sat back and allowed Shao Kahn to decimate entire civilizations, even invading Earthrealm despite losing the Mortal Kombat tournament. When they do get off their asses to do something, it's usually already too late. And that's not to get into the whole Shinnok ordeal. Long story short, they drop the ball a lot.
