Put Those Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach Romance Playthroughs on Hold — She’s About to Get a Better Ending

Last month, Nintendo revealed longtime Mario voice actor Charles Martinet will no longer voice the character. The company stopped short of revealing who is taking over the role, although it did say we’d find out in the upcoming release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which does not feature Martinet as Mario. 

Whether we like it or not, the role of Mario is no longer solely owned by Charles Martinet. He has been the gaming icon’s voice for many years, and gamers have gotten used to how he sounds as the character. So much so that when a certain animated movie came out and cast Chris Pratt in the role, many weren’t amused. However, as noted by both Martinet and Nintendo, he’s not leaving the company, nor is he retiring from voice acting. Instead, he will be the newly created role of “Mario Ambassador.” A title that still has some things to be explained.

Larian Studios, the developer behind the hit RPG Baldur's Gate 3, has revealed its plans for the game's second major post-launch Patch while addressing player criticisms surrounding bugs and cut content.

Most of us probably want what's best for Gale, Karlach, Shadowheart, and so on, but one twisted individual recently set about trying to get every single character the worst possible ending they can in one playthough, heaping untold misery upon their poor, unsuspecting party.

While Baldur's Gate 3 has broadly been beloved by, well, just about everyone, players have increasingly been raising concerns that Act 3 isn't up to the standards set by the earlier stages of the game. Developer Larian Studios has directly responded to those concerns, and says that fixes for some - but not all - of the points raised are coming.
