LEGO 2K Drive is seen as the headline addition for December 2023, which will be available for both PS5 and PS4 subscribers. If you can ignore the microtransactions, the racer provides a fun experience with satisfying driving and a varied sandbox map.
In our LEGO 2K Drive PS5 review, we awarded the game a 7/10 and concluded: «Whether you're a fan of LEGO, arcade racing, or both, this game comes highly recommended from us, with the unfortunate caveat that it also features pretty aggressive monetisation. Tactile open worlds have a decent amount to discover, the Story mode strikes the perfect tone, and the driving itself is great fun.»
As for PowerWash Simulator, much has already been made of the surprisingly fun, relaxing experience it has to offer as you give buildings and environments a good scrub. Since release, it's been updated with SpongeBob Squarepants, Back to the Future, and Final Fantasy VII-themed content. «This is a video game, and once you've cleaned something, it goes 'ding' and makes you feel really good,» we said."

I tried 2k drive and didn't like it. Been wanting to try power wash and sable, pretty good month. Wish they would also announce the extra and premium on the same day as essential.

Starting December 19, all higher-tier PS Plus members can hop back into the lively city of Los Santos and experience a tale of perilous heists and betrayal as a street hustler, a retired bank robber, and an impulsive criminal's lives become intertwined in a twisted odyssey. Since release at the start of this year, the game has been well supported on PS5, PS4 with some free DLC packs themed around Square Enix titles.

It's the final month of the year, and Sony has officially revealed the PS Plus Essential titles that will conclude 2023's selection. The thing is, though, we've already seen heavily divided opinions on this latest lineup — even more so than usual, if you can believe it!
The well-received PS5, PS4 tactics title Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is receiving one final free update today along with two paid DLC packs as developer Mimimi Games plans to close its doors. Each priced at $14.99, the expansions add new playable characters, missions, and areas to the game, extending the experience by «several hours». Both can be seen in the trailer above.
Update: Following the leaks overnight, Ubisoft has now confirmed Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition is indeed in development. More news will be shared in early 2024, but the publisher is «dedicated to making it an experience that truly honors the legacy of the original». Ubisoft says the version that got out via its subscriptions service to the point where it was briefly playable was an early build that isn't «indicative of the final game».
