Princess Peach: Showtime! is here, giving the Mushroom Kingdom monarch a chance to break out of the damsel role and do a little world-saving of her own. While the game is largely pitched to younger audiences, there are still a few things about the game that might inspire questions, and we’re here to help!
While most of Princess Peach: Showtime! keeps it pretty straightforward, the game’s Detective Peach stages take the form of old-school adventure game mysteries. These sections may puzzle younger players, and perhaps even their parents called in when they get confused, so we’re here to help. Here’s how to get through the second Detective Peach stage, “The Case of the Rainy-Day Plot”…

You’ll star by having to track down a Sour Bunch Gang member. When he turns around hide in the shadows behind one of the objects on the street, keeping in mind that the sandwich boards might move.
After tracking him for a bit, the Sour Bunch goon will disappear. Where’s the trail lead next? Investigate the puddle on the ground, then inspect the junk piled in the nearby alley (press B while in front of an item then hold B again for a “Strike of Intuition” that identifies it as a key point of interest, but choose wisely – point fingers recklessly and you’ll lose life).
This will lead to another round of tracking. Then you’ll have to figure out which door our goon went in. Ask around for clues, or simply read on – the correct door is the middle one with a single leaf above it.
Next, you have to identify the place the Sour Bunch Gang is targeting in this room. Inspect the model of the Clock Tower.
Okay, now it’s off to the clock tower itself! To get the elevator working you’ll need the right key. The one hanging partly down that looks like a “9” is your answer (it’s actually a 6 turned over).
Next floor, you need to find three pieces of a gear. The first is on the left side of the room.
The next is in the middle of the room.
The last is hidden inside this carboard box with a handprint on it.
Okay, one last floor! You’ll need a key to get the elevator going again, but where is it? Take the lighter-colored gear on the back wall and put it on the spoke to the right. This will open a new passage. Go through, and you’ll find yourself on the minute-hand of the clock tower. The key is also here. Grab it and use it to get the elevator moving again.
Now, just interact with the big bell to finish up this mystery in dramatic fashion! You can check out our walkthrough of Detective Peach’s first case, “The Case of the Missing Mural,” right here.

The Fallout Amazon TV series debuted last night, and to follow up on the hype, Bethesda will be releasing a long-awaited next/current-gen update for Fallout 4. On PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, that means players will now have access to a both a Quality mode and a 60fps Performance mode. What resolution we can expect hasn’t been specified – guess we’ll have to wait for Digital Foundry to weigh in on that. Bethesda is also promising “stability improvements, login and quest fixes” on console.
Like previous entries in the series, Mortal Kombat 1 is rolling out plenty of DLC fighters, with the game’s first “Kombat Pack” so far serving up Omni-Man from Invincible, Quan Chi, and Peacemaker from Suicide Squad. It’s been a rather cameo-heavy list so far, but we’re getting back to a fan-favorite from the actual Mortal Kombat universe next – Ermac.
As we head deeper into 2024, the traditional “E3” season (of course, E3 is dead now, but you catch my drift) for gaming announcements and showcases is coming up fast. In recent days we’ve begun to hear some murmurings about Microsoft’s big 2024 showcase, with Gears 6 reportedly being there, and now a few more potential details may have filtered out.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Episode 1 – Fear is out now, and one of the key pieces of new content included is a new playable version of the Joker. That said, if you’re expecting to jump right in and play as the Clown Prince of Crime, you’re in for a rude awakening – he has to be unlocked, either by playing the game or by spending premium currency. We’re going to assume for now that you’d rather not spend real money to get your hands on Joker, so scroll on down for the in-game method for unlocking him…
Alongside Peach's new ensembles in there are also several cosmetic dresses for Peach to unlock and wear throughout the game. To unlock every single dress, players will need to, not only fully complete the game, but also complete some lengthy post-game tasks.
Recently-released data indicates that Princess Peach: Showtime sales are outpacing the PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin in Japan. Princess Peach: Showtime released on March 22, an extremely busy day for the gaming industry. While it's rare for major new game releases to land on the same day, Princess Peach: Showtime shared its launch date with PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin and Capcom's open world action-RPG Dragon's Dogma 2.
Rise of the Ronin is the latest joint from Team Ninja, and unlike some of their past efforts, the game is surprisingly story-heavy. There are also a number of moments when you’ll be presented with important decisions to make, which begs the question – are their multiple endings? And how does one unlock them all? Scroll on down for the full lowdown on how RotR's story works…

Each stage in will contain several Sparkle Gems, key collectibles that are required to challenge the game's many bosses. These Gems are often hidden in sneaky ways, which is especially true for the Ninja Peach levels. Collecting every Ninja Sparkle Gem will require sneak-attacking guards, prowling over rooftops, and collecting Gem Fragments during high-speed wall-running sequences.
